Ouch! The superior warbands of the Galatians did their job and smashed through the Carthaginian center. The African spears and Spanish Scutarii were not enough to hold the line, and a dubious upper hand on the left with cavalry battles couldn't be harnessed into an advantage for the Carthaginians. An epic battle where nearly all available troops were fighting. I took a few risks charging Almughavars with Vet spears, they all remained steady and won. We both held out on hills for quite some time. I had the advantage on one and Harvey had a big advantage on another. I held on one and routed everything in front of me on the other and was then able to turn and hit the flanks of units.

As night was falling the Macedonians had multiple units break. I was expecting a draw.

The Seleucids were determined to win and fought to the very end. The battle could have gone either way right up until the very end.

Honor to the Venetians and their general among the few to engage in battle and not flee across the map like many other opponents faced. The battle was tough, the Swiss managed to engage the enemy without being outflanked despite the numerous attempts of the Venetians who fought courageously.
