Spy ship is available in a few missions. And yes, you can... no, you have to sink it.
It has light defense values against air attacks because I read that these ships were equipped with Strela.

That's cool ))))

An attack on a spy ship ?
How did I not have the idea!? I mark it in my ideas book
it can also happen that the submarines run right into the army of their killers
Navigation errors are part of the fun. It's always very pleasant to see "ambush" written above our units during the ennemy turn
If you read the histories of the Cold War conflicts there is a lot to find interesting and heroic )) But we have a game and we can go even further and for this we do not need billion dollar investments like in the cinema ))))

Campaign is in the final phase.
There will be 10 missions instead of 9. 9 was somehow inappropriate, so I thought why not 10.
The last mission is currently being tested.

Svalbard ? Hehe, I've already make a little "recon" with Maps a few weeks ago.
Interesting location. I didn't found a good way to integrate it in my story; but apparently I'll visit it anyway in this campaign
Edit: Am I the only one having touble to download it? 3 try, 3 failures

Edit 2: Nevermind, it's just my navigator that decided this folder was "suspicious"...
FINAL edit: I was curious and checked the mod files before I launch it. I see there is a music folder with custom music : it's enough to make me happy.

It's a nice start!
The snow + the near future setting + the soundtrack together gives a weird feeling. Weird, but good. It is as your Afghan campaign with the Soviets: it has its own spirit, a little bit different from main MC mod.
I should seriously consider to do my own soundtrack for my long campaigns, it add something
So, 1st scenario seems to indicate we are going towards guerilla-style scenarios. Sure, we have every units available, but the map is vast, recon is insufficient, and danger can arrive from everywhere. But we have one advantage : we are the danger
I've not used the Special Forces at their best potential (I'm not used to "reconmove" for infantry units), but I already saw the potential.

SPOIL
My only difficulty: how to deal with saboteur?
When I encountered it, my only plan was to take casualties with my 2 infantry units dispatched to deal with it, until he ran out of ammo. Then, I surrounded him and slowly bring him down to 0HP. Peak strategy: I have more men than they have ammo. Don't laught, it worked
I guess I didn't sent the right units to destroy it...
Despites those casualties, I have lost no units and have 4 000 points available for the next mission.
I think I will hate saboteurs, but I'm still confident

Congratulations Tobi, you have made me beat a record that I established years ago with a civilization game.
Here, it's 4 A.M., and I'm still on your campaign ; a good thing you released it a saturday; I'll be dead tomorrow
Mission 2: I lost one unit
One brave special force unit that I bought at the start of this scenario. i wanted to train it quickly to be at a similar level than the upgraded ones we receive during mission 1, but my poor boys didn't survived their baptism of fire
A sad day for my army, but victory was achieved.
I knew I was greedy, but I've decided to capture the russian airfield, plus the given objectives. I've finished the mission just in time, due to my greed... I should avoid to take unnecessary risks, who know the surprises you could have placed in the upcoming scenarios
The scenario was good.
I liked that the terrain looked natural (I struggle with that in my scenarios). The forests were full of marauding infantry, while artillery observers and entrenched infantry awaited my assault.
The artillery on the hill seemed a bit "Napoleonic", but still right. And I did the same thing once anyway

We are gamers. If we see a hill, we have integrated the idea that we must put an artillery unit on it

I've sold my Finnish APCs, replaced by the more effective Swedes ones. But my infantry will stay Finnish!
Next scenario : kommando!
Hehe, it is inspired by my infiltration missions or it is again another concept ?
I'll try it tomorrow... I mean, during the day
Edit : It is normal ?

I am constantly short of literally a couple of moves to meet the deadline of 29 + I can of course add + 5 moves in the settings without cheats )))) My Finns are strong, Swedes remind me of a herd of new recruits )) Russians are strong professionally and they have aviation with artillery + some units have 11 units ))

Update: A tile problem in mission “Command” has been fixed.
Link has been updated and can be downloaded.
Simply overwrite the Cold Breeze folder with the new one.

First of all, thank you very much for your feedback. I'll read through everything again later. The tile problem should be fixed, I had in the meantime edited the scenario with another Modern Conflicts modified by myself and therefore all those who play with original Modern Conflicts see these errors and I do not.

I have removed the music in the update, if you would like this music I would send you the playlist or I will post it here soon. But I don't think it's that important as everyone can integrate their own music wishes into the game

In Mission 2, you need a certain strategy and, of course, the right units. The Swedes haven't been at war for 200 years - you can even feel that in the game.

I was always able to finish the second mission with 23 turns, of course because I know it but also because I ignored the enemy airport.

Imeror:“The artillery on the hill looked a bit “Napoleonic”, but still right. And I've done the same thing before

”
I revisited this idea as I used it for the first time in the Morning Glory scenario and it worked well. By the way, you can also achieve something like this with air defense...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You simply can't avoid this group of islands in a campaign like this, but I found it difficult to find a suitable solution for an invasion in this game due to the geography. I simply decided to create a few passable paths for the units, because I hate only being able to advance there step by step or not at all with soldiers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Next scenario: Command!
Hehe, is it inspired by my infiltration missions or is it a different concept again?"
Half and half. I already wanted to do something like this in the Afghanistan campaign, but I stayed on the beaten track there, I liked your idea of the military base surrounded by barbed wire and so I took up the idea again and incorporated it here. However, I'm still not completely satisfied with the result and will work on it a bit more. Now I have to say that this campaign was created in record time, even for me, considering that I also built the new buildings and units and embedded them in the game mechanics.

I have one more general tip for everyone. Take a close look at the city or industrial hexes, especially in Mission Kotka and Hyppysammakot. There it is sometimes a bit difficult to spot the neutral flags to be conquered because of the winter landscape.
