Morbio vs Londo - both matches a draw.

We both agree it would be foolish for the French to attack the fortified position and equally it would be foolish for the Spanish to leave their fortifications. We both feel it is a shame that Pete's effort to recreate this battle are not to yield fruit in this competition, but hopefully the scenario will be fun for those that like to recreate history. Sorry Pete.

Group C

ianiow (French) 8/69
epos (Spanish) 52/51

The Spanish made the mistake of leaving their fort and were punished.

epos (French) 70/69
ianiow (Spanish) 54/51 Draw

In the second game my Spanish hid behind their defences and epos attacked both frontally and on both wings. The wing attacks failed but the frontal assault should have won the battle for the French if it weren't for the flank failures. They attacked in two lines, the front line went in piecemeal and deliberately lost, drawing the Spanish defenders into the ditch on follow up. Next the second French line hit them on equal terms (except the Spanish were no longer fresh and were a moral grade down - average vs superior). The French second line then proceeded to annihilated the Spanish and sent them routing back into their camp disrupting the troops behind them.

The scenario doesn't look balanced, but surprisingly is.

You haven't set our match to "any book" so I can't choose my tournament army.

We can still play that game as a "friendly" if you wish.

Will the opponents of kmaher please note that Ken has had a major PC failure and he will be out of action for 10-14 days? He is playing in Classical Antiquity C division, High Middle Ages B division and the themed event.
