Not well enough unfortunately should have been a touch more patient possibly and worked on yuor lights a buit more but in the end the Sacred band and bad impact dice told, all good though was happy to pull it back that far

Palmyrans won initiative and the crowded battlefield penned the Armenians in. The Legionaries held up the Armenian Cataphracts, while a right flank sweep by the Roman MF over the rough terrain destroyed the Armenian javelinmen. Gotta love Armoured MF!

A most savage draw it was. One cohesion roll away from victory.
As my second last unit routed, it forced a cohesion roll for the last one who failed. Quite funny.

Catalan Company (JocaRamiro) Vs. Swiss (dav956)
Initiative: Catalan Company
Outcome: Catalan Company 16/14 - Swiss 34/33

I chose a map with a small hill running from the right to the center. Scrub and hill sides on the right, a clear area on the left that allowed access behind the hill. The hope was that speedy catalans could hop onto the hill, before the swiss arrived. The cavalry was on the left while I planned to hold on t he right - t he whole army was scrunched onto the left side of the map.

We did get on the hills and glowered at the Swiss below, while the cavalry swept around to engage the Swiss. Given that the catalan cavalry is a little stronger, we started to get the upper hand. eventually the Swiss lost patience and went for the hill. All the while we were able to skirmish on the right without giving significant ground or losing too much.

When our cavalry was able to attack the weakened pikes from the rear, vicotory was a few grinding attacks away.

I did not get a chance to enter this particular division and see that you are doing quite well with the 'Cats'!!!

When I first started I played the Cats almost exclusively, and enjoyed it tremendously and I see you are too.

I would like to challenge you to a 500 point NON League game. I will use my Classical army (since that is the one I am in the league with). If you have time, I think we would both enjoy it and I will try my best to give you a run for your money...

Initiative was you I would never have picked that prick of a map, mind you that said my over zealousness and some brain fades helped so although almost all the phalanxes were mauled it was not to be today, well playe dmate and you deserve this and your medieval wins after the drubbings I gave you last time
