First my old school english is not so good (it´s over 25 years ago when i learn it, but never used it...

)
I like this campaign very much, good work
One question, is there coming an invasion to Canda, NewZeland, Australia too?
Hallo Ballermann,
Ich verstehe auch Deutsch. Wir sind Nachbarn

.
I received several positive messages about the 1945-46 scenario's and the question if there will be a continuation.
My hands are rather tied due to the limitations of the vanilla efile but nonetheless there will be continuation of GTPG.
The continuation will even be more interesting with the units at my disposal in SS-GTPG.
This expansion will surely include the invasion of several british commonwealth countries.
But for the time being i will first inject new scenarios into the existing campaign tree.
Thank you for the compliment and your interest

Scenario 55 is ready for my first test ...i had to fill the gap between Dunkirk and England... is France. After the weekend i can update the flowchart again.
Campaign scenario list done till now: Madrid (new), Danzig, Westerplatte(new), Warsaw, Norway, Narvik(new), Sweden(new), Belgium, Dunkirk, France(new).
Better too early than too late:
Anyone who is interested to test the new campaign tree (up to where i'll get in 3 weeks from today) including the new early war scenario's of the upcoming GTPG Grand Campaign v1.0, leave either a msg in the thread or send pm.
I only ask to report anything out of the ordinary, prestige or whatever you deem necessary to tell.
You will receive the "package" around april 15th , just before i...even a modder has to... go on vacation for 2 weeks.

France screenshots from the great original PG map.

Blitzkrieg France!

Now that i'm updating old and new maps with railroads...what about the armoured train as a core unit?
One early war scenario left to make...i'm sure everybody knows which one that is.
For those who might be interested. I made a little SS-GTPG demo where you can taste the SS/SE/Heer units, and the new Slovakian units. You'll find it in the SS-GTPG thread.

It is a pitty that some players still experience problems to start the campaign. So in the first window of the thread i added a how to install with screenshots. As i also have copy/pasted here underneath.
I hope this will solve the nightmare with installing a custom campaign with the vanilla e-file and efx. Now i am at the end of the rope to explain how to play.
How to install?
Chose one of the downloads for GTPG Grand Campaign v0.1
Then save it as the screenshot below shows:
The rar file must be saved under documents/mygames/panzer corps/mods
Sorry, my OS is in dutch ; opslaan = save
When it is downloaded extract the file here:
Now you have the folder GTPG Grand Campaign Handpick v0.1
Start the game, chose new game
Click on more campaigns
Click on GTPG.... and then on play

GTPG7/GC v0.1 update

An error is corrected in the German Torch scenario for those not following orders in deploying core airunits. Deploying paratroopers made it impossible to win due to the scripted map victory condition. The update corrects this.
The players who only deploy airunits, not paratroopers, do not require to do this update.

Progress report
Campaign scenario list done till now: Madrid (new), Danzig, Westerplatte(new), Warsaw, Norway, Narvik(new), Sweden(new), Belgium, Dunkirk, France(new), UK40, Spain(new), Gibraltar, Malta, Balkans41, Crete.
I'm still looking for volunteers willing to playtest the upcoming GC v1.0. You will be able to play and test up to where i'll get updating this version on april 14th. You should receive the package on april 15th.
New feature for v1.0 (and also in the test package):
You will be able to do 2 things with the axis minor core units you receive from time to time:
1) Disband them at the deployment phase for prestige.
2) Upgrade them to units of the same class of its own nation and no longer by German units! This feature will even be more interesting with the custom efile for SS-GTPG.

Has anyone tried to send an invasion force to England in the Channel scenario? I'm thinking of it to get some extra prestige...
I'm wondering if there's a deterrent like there was in Moscow.

"Now that i'm updating old and new maps with railroads...what about the armoured train as a core unit?"
I don't really use it, but I made it an available unit for purchase as well as a bonus unit, though I usually use the K5 or Gustav. For historical accuracy I limit myself to two Gustav 800mm. I also made an upgrade for the 200mm: the 310mm K5 Glatt.
I found myself leaning toward the bigger railguns because the armored train simply isn't as usable due to range and track locations. I recall that armored trains have good suppresion, unlike the railguns, but an experienced railgun will take off 4-5-6 health in a shot.
To answer your question, I think it'd be cool. I like finding units already on the map that stay with my core.
Are you strategically placing tracks to make the armored train more valuable?

The scene where i placed the train, you`ll need it to gain a DV. Railroad tracks are handy to transport units quickly. I consider the armoured train an interesting addition to the core and good in softening up a target. It remains a challenge not to have it destroyed.
There are maps that really needed railroads like sevastopol.

Funny you mention that, I increased the armor protection by 3 points. I figured it should've had at least the same armor as my tanks at the time. I've never researched it though. I could be wrong.
Will you add more '44 - '45 scenarios? I haven't played 6-allies yet, but 6Russians felt too short. Which is to say I enjoyed it. No matter how 'minor' the battle, you should do it man. There's gotta be some interesting war stories that more scenarios can be made from. That may take more time, but it'd be worth it. Or, are you only sticking to the Panzer General outline? I never played it, but my Dad is a PG vet. He spoke highly of the Berlin East + West scenario. What's the deal with that, is it only available in SSGTPG?

GTPG works with vanilla stock efile and efx only, so i am not changing parameters there. SS-GTPG is a different matter: Bob is rebuilding, updating, fattening the efile sponsored by a couple of sixpacks
GTPG6allies and russians have both 7 scenario's, so that is actually 14 for that period. At least 4 will be added (including the Berlin East+West) for that period for GTPG v1.0.
With my little progress reports i tell everyone how far i am at present and occasionally i add the updated flowchart. Sofar the scenario counter for v1.0 is 56 scenario's.
As i have posted several times before, and i don't need to stick to the PG outline btw, suggestions for additional scenario's are always welcome, and then i'll see if i can make it work or not.

Hi,
love your scenario included in the campaign so far. Really nice work and I looking forward to the 1.0 release!
But what I really dont understand, why I always lost the whole campaign if I loose in one scenario?
What is the reason for this? I dont seemed very logically for me that the whole campaign/war ends if i dont sucess to capture norway (as an example).
Will this feature stay in the final version?

Hi HQ.
First of all thanks for your feedback, it is much appreciated.
A very good question sir! And the answer is no. The way as i designed it for v0.1 is too harsh.
Therefore some missions but not all will allow the player to move on when unable to achieve a DV or MV.
I hope you understand that for certain missions a loss will still result in the end of the campaign.
The flowchart will probably get updated next weekend or so and remains open for debate until the actual release.

Thats nice to hear.
Sure that if you loss some main-mission (ambush on poland or low-countries) that the campaign should be end. But if so, it would be very nice if you read a end message and a reason why the campaign end here and not like in 0.1 a quick switch to main menu without any notices.
Additional in some scenarios like barbarossa maybe you can switch after a lost the campaign to some later chapters, where russia ambush germany. So you always experinece a whole war chronicle to the end and you can decide if you play until the end or restart the scenario to achieve another way.
greetz HQ
edit: another good thing would be some bonuses for marginal victory over loss like in UK40. I never liked that in the vanilla campaign theres no real difference between MV or loss in UK40. So you always have a target you work for, even if you not can achieve DV.

I post the updated flowchart from time to time. Then you can always suggest what could be subject to change.
Losses also have a little briefing. If one is not showing before you're taken back to the main menu, than that's an error. If one is not showing at all, let me know.
And i keep those debriefings simple, when you lose, you lose and this happens to all of us.
The only way to distuingish the bonus between a DV, MV and loss is first of all the amount of prestige received and added to your prestige pool for the next scenario and secondly the access to scenario's which are not available for the MV and/or loss. IMO the main incentive for achieving a DV is the ability to get to play more scenario's.
Updated flowchart.
