We found out that Spaniards can climb steep hills better than pikemen and cataphracts.

Xiccarph, where are we fighting? Do you wish to continue to a second battle?
Since I have no close blood ally I will proceed with a second battle.

In other news, the forces of Deadtorious have been defeated in Carmaine, perhaps it was the water.

Is Scar out for a bit? My invasion stalls pending his return.

Also it seems the people of Hypox have a deep and abiding need to take the fight to Revoltus. Perpare to defend slave! Password: spank

While we are at it I wish to invade Deadtorious realm as well since I doubt his army will want to continue its invasive activities in Hypoxian lands. Password: ouch

I didn't even know that Deadtorius was fighting you in Carmaine (or Carmanie as it is spelt on the map?) I'll wait for Deadtorius to confirm he is withdrawing from the province before I remove the battle flag (which I'm now adding) - that will impact your planned counter-invasion. If he doesn't withdraw you can't invade.

I believe Scar is away at the moment, but I don't know that for sure... I'm updating the map on his behalf.

I'll need AHuyton to confirm where the battle in Revoltus is being fought.

Utopian victory

The armies of Utopia have successfully defeated the uninvited hordes of Tuan. Many proud Roman (Tuam) bodies now fertilize the fields of Sambre. Hopefully, this shall teach them to respect the Fifth Estate. I presume they now go home in defeat?

Battle of Sambre:

Utopia: 35/42 3,190/12,040
Tuam: 47/44 5,283/13,200

Deeter the Muckraker

P.S. One General of Tuam now headless, and one Utopian camp looted.

Will the invasion continue?

Rome apoligises for the delay, we needed to await the witchdoctors to reanimate the dead.
Our Teutonic army will march again at full strength (500 ap's)

No longer having the brains (no head) to respect the state of the 5th estate the Tuamanites will stay in the fields of Utopia and attempt again to turn them into Tir na' Nogh.

Morbious vs Delian Confederacy
Battle of Euboea (part 1)

Attacker: Morbio (Seleucid)
3,240/13,800 - 23/46 - WIN

Defender: CharlieChap (Macedonian)
5,745/13,200 - 44/44 - LOSE

A well fought battle whose score doesn't reflect the skill of the opposing commander nor the closeness of the battle. <salutes>

We'll wait to hear if the Delian's are continuing the fight....

Rome does not apreciate such a namesake, even though we know it refers to the imitation legions of Tuam

Phangoria vs Morbious
Battle of Sakastan (part 1)

Defender: Morbio (Seleucid)
4,333/18,900 - 44/63 - WIN

Attacker: BatesMotel (Bosporan)
6,457/16,200 - 57/54 - LOSE

The populous in Morbious rejoices in defeating the invader, particularly since it is the first time the Bosporan army has been defeated!

Will Phangoria fight on or are they going home?

In a fierce gaelic clash, the highlanders repelled the Irish invasion.

VICTORY for the Clan Braveheart forces defending the province of Lemnos against the Tuam counter-attack.

Clan Braveheart (Isles & Highlands)
Casualties 2,772/15,900 17/53

Tuam (Anglo-Irish)
Casualties 6,150/16500 58/55

We propose peace with the Tuam Empire after this successful defence, mutual non aggression for the rest of the year.
We will toast a peace with whisky, they with whiskEy.
