Hey GL, do you want us to start up? I know an Aussie I want to thump on for a bit.

Sorry Arctic... Not quite yet... Am waiting on a final fix from Amaris... that prevents tank traps from being constructed in the middle of forest...

Gulp - I suspect that might be me. And you've had much more experience than I! Am not feeling hopeful but always happy to learn new things.
For example, just last week I got back onto dry land after 5 days & 4 nights aboard a 50ft sailing vessel attempting to get my Skippers' ticket.
I
was successful at not falling overboard
and not heaving my lunch overboard, but deemed "not yet competent" at sail handling ("a blind man could've done a better bowline" was one helpful assessment). I thought the course would help me develop the skills to get there (and sponge-like, I did absorb a LOT) but since the course was to assess current capability - and I have little to none - I was somewhat at a disadvantage.
At least my boat handling under motor was "acceptable" and my cooking was "excellent". Damned by faint praise.
The instructor was a politically incorrect male chauvinist pig, who seemingly only knew one adjective, knew everyone and everything of import, had a fancy for Asian “princesses” and was critical of all other (insert single adjective) idiots afloat. It was a real blokey experience and despite it all I had a blast.
Why am I sharing this? I wonder if rookie sailors in Amaris' mod will have to endure a similar training experience!

...and since I'm wasting everyone's time, here's a true story from one of my fishing trips.
I was fishing at a lake in the Outback last month but after a while I ran out of bait. Then I saw a redbelly black snake with a frog in his mouth, and frogs are good bait. Since I knew the redbelly couldn't bite me with the frog in his mouth, I grabbed him right behind the head, took the frog and put it in my bait bucket.
Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bitten. Thinking "anaesthetic", I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little into its mouth. Well, a bit more than a little. I had a bit too. Eventually his eyes rolled back, had a sort of a stupid snakey sort of grin and went limp. I tossed him under a tree and carried on my fishing with the fresh bait.
About an hour later, I felt a nudge on my foot - there was that same bloody snake.
Looking up at me.
With
two frogs in his mouth.

JT, update and set a game for us with you as Allies and you can practice with the new Engineers until GL has it fixed.

Who was training who?
The snake was sayin', "Give me more o' that fiery stuff and i'll swap ya' for frogs"?
Now that's a Real Aussie snake (have I told you about SQ, Australians & handcuffs?

)
Shame you couldn't teach the bugger to swim!!

Hey GL, does the LOS following look right to you? JT and I are playing and he has no LOS on my Tiger until he's right on top of it, and as you can see I have the same issue though its less of a concern for me.

Is the LOS the same if you remove the potentially blocking obstacle... ie. the dead Sherman?

Dunno - surrendered in frustration (and to clean up the blood) before I saw your post.
I don't quit as a general rule but am happy to wait for the rebalanced version. Jon - this was the Trinidad Scorpion of scenarios (see YouTube for other examples).

If I had to guess I would say it was, solely based on how JT moved towards that Tiger. He rolled three tanks in and it was evident that he had no idea it was there. No smoke rounds had been fired either.
John, that game we just played, that was the rebalanced scenario.

GL, I played the last turn before John surrendered and I think it' was a definite LOS problem. He'd tried again, and had two Firefly on the flanks and unless he was in the space directly in from of the Tiger he was blind.

maybe if we all keep twisting GL88's arm we will convince him there is still some modding to do =)

Thanks Arctic. Can you replicate in the Editor, with a Tiger and a Firefly... and then take a screenshot showing the LOS for each one?
BA does some weird stuff with LOS occasionally... but at the Main Gate, I've been able to fire in and out with no problem before...

Hehe, yeah, yeah, keep twistin'... I think your four tank traps in trees (and 10 in the road!

) may just save your ass as the Krauts in our Carpiquet!... 8 walls down, troops infiltrated all over the place... half the forest cut down to marshland... but it's costing me time (and mortar pain and morale rally) that I don't have, to remove your sea of forest tank traps... I notice you've just overtaken me in kills too... Not a good omen!
