I'm really disappointed in Guille...
He hasn't given us any Alien infantry yet... The Grey's with big dark eyes in a big head.

Maybe I have a big head for thinking about it? :)

Thank you very much! It is always a pleasure to work together with friendly and talented modders!
guille1434 wrote:As asked by Uhu, who is working in a Hungarian mod (go to see his thread about it, it looks impressive!), I made the icons for the 8.8cm Flak in AA and AT modes with Hungarian camo schemes.
Here is a pack with the skin provided by him, and also with two other new Hungarian camo schemes I found in the Internet. You have icons in all three schemes... May be someone with an interest in minor nations modding can have some use for this stuff.

Now, a "What if?" Soviet unit, for all the Red Army enthusiasts over here... The SU-203 was a project to mount a 203mm Howitzer on a ISU chassis (like the ISU-152, but replacing the 152 mm weapon with a 203 mm one), I think it would have suffered from low ammo storage capacity, but it would compensate with firepower! :-) The complete pack is available as usual...and the image where the idea to make this unit was taken from...
Enjoy!

In continuation with self-propelled artillery units, here is an early war old friend... The Sturmpanzer I, a long time ago, I uploaded just its converted AT version... Now I revised the unit and made the complete pack, including base icon and masks, besides the usual camo schemes assortment.
Cheers!

This new and original icon is the result of the collaboration between me and Asuser... The basic icon was his creation, and I helped with some detailing work. I think the result is very good!
All the camo variants and base icon and mask are included... This guy can make icons! Enjoy!

We share also interest in expanding the units available in the "structure" class... Here is the Einmann Bunker. Another very good icon created by Asuser, which gave me permission to share with you. Can be useful as an observation post.

Using the turret profile of one of the T-34/85 tanks made by Flakfernrohr, I modified the standard game T-34/85 tank icon, because I felt that the turret outline could be improved... So, here is the result, I think it looks a little better now. There is included a German captured version of the unit, which was not previously available in game (only the T-34/76). Thanks Flak for sharing your excellent work! :-)

And yet another original work by Asuser... This time in the air units category... The Bv-138 maritime recon aircraft. I think this is an excellent piece of art... He is constantly experimenting and learning skills using the GIMP software. He deserves a big THANK YOU! from everyone here. I just gave this icon the "Multipurpose Units" treatment, skinning it with the regular variety of camo schemes... Enjoy!

The Pak 40 75mm At gun... a unit that lacked its distinct icon in the game. The vanilla game used the same icon as for the 5cm Pak 38, and the version I uploaded here sometime ago, was simply an enlarged version of that same icon. Now, using original images downloaded from the internet, I made a more detailed (and accurate, I hope) icon for this important unit.
Here is the complete unit pack, including AT and artillery variants, and also the base icons and masks to use in the DCS software.
I hope you like this icon...Enjoy!

I took a break from the game, but looks like guille1434 still worked 24/7 without breaking a sweat meanwhile. :)
Nice work, can’t wait to include many of these nice new goodies from the last months into my game!

PS: the Pak-40 desert version got a bit too pale compared to the SS version, which matches nicely the vanilla desert color.
I don't use SS units but I understand it's difficult to distinguish between SE and SS when there is hardly enough space for camo. Can't say I like this pale-green of SE standard either. I just prefer colors which match the vanilla ones. The kill-markings alone are already an excellent idea to quicky identify the versions.

Hello Asuser! Welcome back! It is good to enjoy your company again! :-) I 'm glad you liked the way I handled your introduction here, but my words did not make justice to your work... A picture is worth 1000 words, as they say!... Feel free to use this thread to post anything you want to!

I am answering also your mails... I have some new stuff also (including "our" Sdkfz 247). Stay tuned!
Greetings from Argentina!!

Horst: Thanks for your nice words and positive feedback, but I can tell you I break a sweat!... You can use any of the stuff uploaded here in any way you want...

About the camo schemes of the unit packs uploaded here: The "standard" camo schemes a make for the icons are compatible with Airbornemongo's Elite Unit Mod... As my idea was always to "standarize" as much graphic work as possible... so, when I started to make icons, I decided to "follow" the standard established by Airborne with his mod (mainly, because I liked his modding concept so much), so I though, Why reinvent the wheel? And started to make the units in the vanilla grey color and in the camo schemes used by his mod also. This way, anyone can use "my" icons in his/her eqp. file as well as including them also if he/she is using the Elite Units mod. Sometime in future I will release a complete "Multipurpose units equipment mod" with all the icons made and collected by me with efx and eqp files. In the meanwhile, people around here can start using the icons for his own purposes...

About the light brown SS scheme used in towed guns: This is a good one, I know its very similar to the "regular" desert scheme, but in this way you obtain a "dual purpose" camo (no need to make a separate SS desert camo scheme), an also, the barrel rings are a further visual identification between regular and elite units.

To give the maximum of choices to gamers and modders also, I always include the basic grey icon and mask to use with the DCS software. With this, you can make any camo scheme you like...
For example, if you like to mod a standard grey version of the gun with barrel rings on it, you can convert to greyscale the SS ringed barrel icon, and then apply a grey color using the DCS program, using the mask I provide. Is this is somewhat complicated... I can make a "special" version of the grey icon for you, with the barrel kill markings. You only have to ask and give me some time :-) There is no problem! Also, you can rename the SS version to use it as the desert colored icon...

Thanks again for the much needed feedback!

In the case of towed guns, the SE and SS normal "blotched" and "ambush" schemes, decidedly did not look good, so I think this was the reason why the light brown and lime green colors were chosen. I don't like the pale green scheme very much also, but I don't think it is a good idea to "invent" another scheme, so I stuck with this one. By the way, the light/dark green SE camo used for tanks and another vehicles is a very good one!

Can you do the brown Bofors_40_mm.png in AT mode, please? I've searched but didn't find it. I badly need it against those pesky Fallschirmjägers on Crete. :)
I think you've already done the green Soviet version which I'm going to use meanwhile. Many Allied nations use the Bofors, so it can become handy for all of them.

With Allied Corps, suddenly you start to miss the AT mode for all these many AA units, like M14-16 MGMC, Bofors, 3.7 inch, and the new SPAAGs.

Hello Horst!
Yes, I will do the Bofors 40 mm in direct fire mode... I already made the M16 MGMC switchable (the US and Soviet version), and also the Crusader 40 mm...
By the way, I am working in an improved version of the 7.5 cm Pak 40, bearing in mind your feedback, and some accurate sugestions made by Asuser. So, please stay tuned!

By demand of the public :-) ... I upload here the Crusader 40mm in AA and AT modes. I developed a new special camo for the SE variant of this vehicle (something similar to the "Mickey Mouse blotched camo scheme used by the British in the war). I hope you like it!
This is the first unit of Allied Corps to get the "multipurpose" treatment!
Enjoy!

Thanks for the Crusader!
Can't wait for the 'Meatchopper'. Don't forget there is also a British_M16_MGMC.png as M14 fake.

About improvements: the P-80 Shooting Star could need a revamp on the edges. The green camo version's shadow is also messed up. An SE version with these nice stripes would be great, but I'm already fine with the green one.

PS: a unit in AT mode which I'd desire most and think is important on Allied side is the M7 Priest. The divine support of my tank fleet.
