Clan Braveheart claims the honour of the first win under 1.2.8

This is a continuation of the Clan's campaign to revenge Egypt's sneaky attack on Clan Braveheart last fall, after their first victory

Victory for attacking Clan Braveheart in the second battle of Barren Cliffs
Casualties 1,383/15,300 9/51 BPs

Vs defending Egypt
Casualties 2,550/6,600 23/22 BPs

The casualties seem pathetically small, but we are happy that fewer souls went to their rest.

We would seek honourable peace with the Egyptian empire. If they cede Barren Cliffs to the Clan without forcing us to Assault the city and sell their people into slavery (which we would hate to do, but would be forced to reluctantly) we will declare this war terminated and not attack them again this year (unless they attack an ally, we are fiercely and aggressively protective of our allies).

Defeat of the Phangorians

Clan Braveheart have fought off the attacking Phangorians in the province of Laphroig.

Win for Clan Braveheart
Casualties 12,635/65,500 23/53

Defeat for the Phangorians
Casualties 17,026/47,500 52/49

Neither peat bogs or mountain tops seem to suit the Castillians.....

We await the second battle with enthusiasm, or will the Phangorians withdraw again?

Hauran falls to the Horde.

...And Horde continues to march. New challenge posted for the Clan, password "curse reversed"

Oh, this one is a Rise of Rome game, with the Horde in its normal guise as Bosporans.

Indeed, we concede! Mob are no defence against lancers, for some strange reason.

Another campaign continued from last year..........Clan Braveheart is victorious vs the Westralians

VICTORY for attacking Clan Braveheart in Broome
Casualties 3,123/13,800 27/46 BPs

DEFEAT for defending Westralia
Casualties 3,503/8,700 33/29 BPs

The Swiss pikemen gave our lads a hard time, but they vented their frustrations on the camp and its heerban protectors, so it all ended happily.

The Westralians have ceded Broome, and the war is over between our countries.
We have agreed peace for the rest of the year.

Another battle in Mytilene.

Too many Kerns decided to go home too early after very few casualties, while with their inspired commander Castillians rally left right and centre (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!) and as a result

Castillian attacking
29/44 4688/13200 Win
Anglo Irish defending
43/43 4674/12900 Loss

Despite being outnumbered the gallant Tuamanites caused more (14????) casualties and will yet again contest Mytilene on behalf of our allies the Delian Confederation.

David, please confirm that you are leaving.... I reckon you must be since I doubt you've got much left to attack with - but I really ought to check :)

New Englandia will retreat from the blood soaked plains of Egypt. Two close battles!
