Thanks Pat! An AO run with only minor axis power is really becoming a flavorful option to try to pull off one day with all that camouflage being added.
Yes, You can change enemy unit’s names during the game…terminator wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:24 am I just realized that it is possible to change the camouflage of enemy units during the gameI’ve never tried it before

It's an amazing feature that can help track dangerous enemy units in cases when there are a few of these of similar types or highlighting priority targets. Not sure if it was intended to work this way, but it can be quite useful.terminator wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:24 am I just realized that it is possible to change the camouflage of enemy units during the gameI’ve never tried it before

I hope that manually changing the names of enemy units will not have any effect on the Lua scripts ?GUNDOBALDO08 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:29 pmYes, You can change enemy unit’s names during the game…terminator wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:24 am I just realized that it is possible to change the camouflage of enemy units during the gameI’ve never tried it before

It should have absolutely zero effect looking at this screen from the editor.terminator wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 7:30 amI hope that manually changing the names of enemy units will not have any effect on the Lua scripts ?GUNDOBALDO08 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:29 pmYes, You can change enemy unit’s names during the game…terminator wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 7:24 am I just realized that it is possible to change the camouflage of enemy units during the gameI’ve never tried it before

I found this in the LuaScripting Manual (Unit): (int) name_idTassadar wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 5:34 pmIt should have absolutely zero effect looking at this screen from the editor.terminator wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 7:30 amI hope that manually changing the names of enemy units will not have any effect on the Lua scripts ?GUNDOBALDO08 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:29 pm
Yes, You can change enemy unit’s names during the game…
The unit Name parameter is just a descriptive one in the UI and is separate from the unique ID assigned to each unit.
Wow thanks a lot Pat, very appreciated!Patrick Ward wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 4:28 pm Seems I'd never twigged that the Italian 1943 units had been assigned the wrong mesh. Thats now been corrected and will be in the next update, though I've no ETA on when that will be released into the wild.
Due to the need for pre and post 43 units to look different I'd given them a mish mash of uniforms. Somewhat a-historical but that doesn't matter, except they look a lot cooler than they should.

Finns don't fight anywhere ... because in PC2 they don't exist ...terminator wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 6:06 am Some camouflages have strange names, did the Finns fight in Africa ?

No. Each nation has a bare minimum of three default camo sets, Summer, Winter and Desert. Where the nation never fought in that area/season I've used my discretion. Sometimes you'll see an extra summer camo, sometimes its one that just happens to suit the desert. Sometimes, as appears to be the case here .. I was obviously distracted.terminator wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 6:06 am Some camouflages have strange names, did the Finns fight in Africa ?
No idea. That's an editor issue, not camo colours. I don't know why you're not getting a reply to your question in the Scenario Design forum. But that is the place for questions about the editor.
Unless you can get a petition together there's no plans for specific winter uniforms for the same reason we got rid of the all white default winter camo of vehicles.asuser wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 4:47 pm It would be nice if special winter uniforms for German, Soviet, Finnish and Italian infantry (infantry, cavalry, Kradschützen, Ski troops) could also be introduced.
For this it is probably necessary to adapt the 3D model, since these new uniforms are thicker on the figure surface and had also fur collars.
When it came to headgear, there were also fur hats in addition to the nation-specific steel helmet.
Can this wish be realized?

Illustrates it perfectly, thanks.PoorOldSpike wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 5:22 pm Even if we assigned white camo uniforms as in in this screenshot, we'd have to zoom right in like this to appreciate them, but as most of us play zoomed out with a birds eye view we'd never zoom in anyway..
