Petrozavodsk is ours.
Our infantry is approaching Leningrad from the south.
Can the Finns actually move south in this version, i.e. beyond Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega... and in the north: what about Arkhangelsk at the White Sea?

Strategically, I think the Germans had to take these islands otherwise they hadn't been able to control the central and northern Baltic Sea. It's maybe similar to Bornholm:
These islands were also used as a base for Soviet long range navy bombers for their air raids against Berlin in August 1941. These were conducted by a few planes only but did provide some propaganda success to Stalin at a time when the Red Army suffered defeat after defeat. Capturing the islands was important to make it harder for the Soviet bombers to reach Berlin as after that they had to travel a few hundred kilometers more from air bases near Leningrad and Moscow and could only take a minimum payload to increase their range.

So great, just absolutely great stuff here. Soviets Bombing Berlin, now that means bonus prestige, right?
Yeah, not fully sure how it works in this version, against the AI you lose prestige if an enemy bomber is able to stay above certain (German) cities at the end of your turn (i.e. if you can't shoot it down). At MP, the question might be if the Axis loses AND the Allies win prestige as well? As said, not sure...

In this version, there are no restrictions for the Finns.
But they cannot use transport (trains, airplanes, ships).

Also as in the single version. If the plane is over a hex with a cross, then the Axis loses prestige.

In case you can already reveal, what is the reasoning behind leaving Crimea out for the time being?

It is more correct to say that I did not plan a serious assault on Sevastopol.
Because he is strongly fortified.
And all the troops were aimed further.

I think this is very good progress for turn 10! Is there also a Soviet reserves trigger linked to Moscow around turn 11? Sevastopol might even be empty except for the Maxim Gorky Fort / Armored Coastal Battery...

And a powerful Soviet fleet.
I think in my game (as Allies), the capture of Sevastopol cost the Axis a high price.
