The links in the OP (original post) are always the latest and up-to-date versions. Just download those. Ignore everything else.

That main game screen with the Continue button hints to a modded game...?

What's causing this? When did it first appear (=what did you do/change prior to this error)? Did you add new units? Don't know this kind of screen :) Can't help you without knowing more.

Could be some mess-up with values (missing) or connections. ZIP your current status of the mod and post it here. I'll look over it.

Yes, Duplex asked for help creating a mod with "custom" units.
terminator wrote:I have this screen when I make errors with the file units.csv for my mod.
Ah, okay. Probably some detail in the base file structure gone wrong then, like a missing semicolon or wrong texture or such. Thanks.

I hit the "save as" in the excel file you gave me and I created a ms-dos csv file (like you told me to) and I renamed it to units.csv. And then that happened.

You possibly haven't imported the csv file correctly. You have to change the columns from standard to text, otherwise data like the attack values get changed to dates.

That shouldn't be the reason: I gave him my own Excel file and I'm working with it - no problems so far. But it's from a quite old Excel distribution, there could be differences if opened by newer versions (?).

Here is the mod:

Okay, one thing first: the name of your new units (first column) should match an existing model (e.g. the one you copied it from) otherwise you'd have to create a new picture for it! The "real" units name used in the game will be taken from the english.txt file anyways. The rest of the new units stats looked just fine otherwise.

And second, I'm sorry to say, the Excel file works without problems for me (file attached). The problem with your exported CSV file are the delimiters: comma "," instead of semicolon ";". Can't really help you there. But you can try:

1) import the units.csv into your Excel-Version yourself like this
2) use another program, as terminator suggested in the above post (I'm sure the language can be switched to English  )
3) manually edit the units.csv file using a text editor

French language must be the best option, the proof is that I have no bug by modifying the file units.csv

After many weeks of working non-stop day and night*, I have finally created it:

The Great Manchurian Offensive v1.0.0 has been released!
The link is in the OP.
I'm so proud of myself. I just started scenario creation not too long ago and this is my third one. I hope y'all enjoy.
All feedback/suggestions would be super duper very-much appreciated.

*exaggeration, but I still worked on it a LOT. :D

Duplex, I am going to play your latest soon. Please realize that I don't play multi-player, so I bypassed Shanghai. BeiPing was good and I am looking forward to playing (and critiquing  ) your Manchurian Offensive!

Hi Duplex,

how's the mod coming? But if you got the basics right, I bet the rest should be a piece of cake...more or less... :)

At this point I just want to finish the work on my mod, too, and finally start playing again....
So many new scenarios out...me happy... :D
