We did hear that a foreign prince by the name of "Burgot-us" suffered very heavy casualties this day......

I have a result for Angus....

A very slight win for IMC's Caledonians over Burgot's Germans.

Caledonians 41/47 v Germans 44/43.

The Germans were ahead for most of the battle and withstood the Caledonian attempt to double outflank them. In the end the German centre gave way allowing a 'Follow me charge' by the Caledonain leader....bringing the scores close..but the Germans were still ahead. At the end of the turn, during the JAP phase, a series of follow ups by the Caladonian general and a few supporters bumped into the rears of several German units breaking them all. So from being behind we went ahead.

Caledonians 34/47 V Ancient Brits 42/42. A good defensive position with some ridges and broken ground to hamper the chariots helped me alot.

Red Crested Leader Buffinus Enormus Buttocus appears to have been triumphant over our Caledonian neighbors/foes/whatevers, the only good news is that a messenger was captured from Buttocus to his bossman, Consul Jimicus Allenius far off in the south, where he’s’a licking his wounds down dere.

CONSUL: I have the HONOR to report a GLORIOUS VICTORY over the the barbarian pipers of Caledonia, our forces incurred small loss while our numerous foes, who outnumbered our elite fighting forces at least TEN TO ONE, suffered extreme and utter devastation. We shall have to settle a few legions of retirees to repopulate that region in the future.
