But she will undoubtedly benefit from 'Juve Wargamer, Rule 1':
To quote:
The inexperienced and/or junior Wargamer shall, by nature, innately pick the best list ever seen and roll an average of 5.75 on all dice rolls (or equivalent, depending on dice used); whilst their parents languish at the bottom of the table. In the likely event of direct confrontation between the two, junior shall always win, convincingly.
(Rules of Wargames, E von Fluffywitz (Berlin & New York: 1987)
For reference, Cf Nigel vs Byron Emsen (2010-2013) or Paul vs Bren Cummins (2012-15) for examples!

Hi I though Late Imperial list didn't start till 1621 (that's what it says in book) or is that just Flanders variant
cheers

My 10p worth: see RoE, page 10. Last sentence : "the list covers Spanish armies in the Low Countries from the end of twelve years truce in 1621..."
That knocked the list out for me as the theme is up to 1618?

Just a quick note to say thank you to you all for getting yoru entries in. Warfare FOGR is now full, all 24 places sold.
If we are able to find any more tables (I have just posted to the FOG AM board to let them know we need them to fill up their places quick!), I will let you know.

Hi I though Late Imperial list didn't start till 1621

Sorry, I misread that one, I thought it just snuck in to the period. It's just as well that I'm not checking lists for this one!

Will,
Usually 2 weeks before the competition - say 1st November.
I think it is Kevin but I am certain he will let us know.

It's me, I let Kevin have a tournament off for Warfare.

Send your list to tjp.child[at]gmail.com.
LIst deadline is Friday 30 October (not Saturday, at least partly because I am playing in the Guildford 1-dayer DBMM competition that day.

Will,
That is very early to put your list in. I would think most of us have not even thought of what army to use!!!
So are you using the same as at Derby? I would have thought it useful to give it a try first then change it following your complete failure in every game.

It's never too early! I wrote the list in August!!!
I am fielding what is my next to be finished army that is legal for the date. Also it means I HAVE to get it painted now.
But, no, it's not the same list as Derby, or Campaign, as my Derby list would be illegal under Warfare rules and my Campaign list was bobbins!

Does "Any army between 1559-1618" mean that an army in 1559 is legal, or does it have to be a 1560 (or presumably a 1617) legal-list ..?

I originally drafted it as from 1559 to 1618 and I doubt that Tim would have deliberately changed the meaning.

Erm... does that mean it is "from" an inclusive 1559, or does it still start on January 1st 1560 and run until December 31st 1617 ?

For me that would mean inclusive.
