paulcummins wrote:If they are anything like the beta lists - Polish and Lithuanian are quite interesting.
Lithuanian have all singing all dancing LH (javelin, light spear, swordsmen) and Poles have mixed BG of knights and xbow cavalry
I assume Kn are in front rank and xbow in second rank.
So I assume it's like infantry and the second rank firing in a mixed BG count as if it was first rank, right ?
But how big are the BG : 2/2, 3/3, 4/4 ?

I wonder if you can do different types of Ottoman armies like a Janissary host or an army of nomadic horse archers with local vassels.

Well, I now have my hands on Eternal Empire. Its been a longer wait than I liked but, finally in my hands. Yes, the Ottomans look really good, the Hungarians arent bad either. Teutonics have a punch and the Late Byzantine are, well.....late. But the one I have been building for, Late Serbian army, is looking great. The only gripe is the foot, spearmen in particular. Historical records do show they had a good number of this foot at its peak period. Dissapointed that the number of bases is so low, nevertheless bring on the Knights and....light horse lancers. Yea baby!!!!

DVeight wrote:Well its getting close to mid July and I am not receiving any word on earlier release in Aus. Looks like its going to be September here as well. Still holding hope. I have three weeks leave in mid August and I wanted to use some of that time to paint up my new figures once I find out what type of list I have. Hoping Im not going to grumble to much and ask "what about this and what about that, how could they miss out on theeeeeese troops".
Nevertheless few of us are talking it up here. Have Teutons and Turks as being the most sought after.
I got a copy in the shops a week ago. The lists are great and production is fine.. except for the terrible irregula miniatures 15mm images. Surely there were better dontabe images than these . The ligh hrose hussar looks sandblasted.

Not to bad. 12 bases of nobles as Cavalry or Moldavian knights but has to be from 1400. Heaps of cavalry that can be LH or CAV, protected is best you can get as Cav. Heaps of archers. Then some voynuks, 6 bases, 16 bases of peasants with light spears, crossbow, handgunners, bombards and a bloody good number of field fortifications.
Try this place to order your book in Aus.

I already have mine and it seems that distribution from Aus isnt as big a problem as it is from Amazon.
I love my Serbian list, light horse with lancers. Awesome.

Friend of mine was looking forward to the Teutonics and was dissapointed by the list. Personally I actually like it and think you can draw up a mean force. Doesnt have some things, but is the case with all armies. We cant just have it all and have a 'Superman' army. No fun in that.

do you think hussite are playable ?
it seems to me hard to do something good with them...
1. hard to move the BW
2. exept a list mention, it's impossible to go through BW with your infantry
3. shooting only by side
4. no light infantry
(i speak about the beta test list)
anyway, it will be certainly my next project
