hI--

I AM AN EXPERIENCED WAR GAMER HAVING STARTED OUT LONG, LONG AGO BEFORE COMPUTOR GAMES EVEN EXISTED. I PLAYED AVALON HILL GAMES--GETTYSBURG, CHANCELLORSVILLE; 1863 ETC PLUS OTHER GAMES FROM OTHER COMPANIES. LATELY I AM PLAYING ALL THE HUNTED COW GAMES ON MY I-PHONE AND I-PAD AS WELL AS SHENANDOAH GAMES. I ALSO PLAY STRAT-O-MATIC BASEBALL ON LINE HAVING ALSO PLAYED WHEN ONLY BOARD AND DICE GAMES WERE AROUND TO PLAY. I ALSO PLAY GAMES FROM 'DECISION GAMES": MODERN WAR/STRATEGY AND TACTICS/WORLD AT WAR SERIES'.

I AM SOON TO HIT SIXTY (OY) SO PERHAPS I WILL BRING A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE FROM THE DEMOGRAPHICS YOUR COMPANY TYPICALLY FINDS. I ALSO AM A "CIVIL WAR BUFF" AS WELL AS HAVING DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF WORLD WAR TWO.

ALLOW ME TO PARTICIPATE AND I WON'T LET YOU DOWN; I EVEN HAVE A READY TO PLAY OPPONENT IN MY YOUNGER SON.

To whom it may concern,
I am 40 years of age and started wargaming around 13 years of age. I play pretty much hex and counter, cardboard games as opposed to computer games. However, I do own and have very much enjoyed Battle of the Bulge as well as Drive on Moscow. I see a big future for "old school" games in this "new school" format. Additionally, you guys are the leaders of the industry and I would be honored to be a part of anything you do! Admittedly, the only playtesting i've done of late is that which relates to my own design ideas. If you would like more information, just ask, or go to Youtube and give "Hexes and Soldiers" a listen. It's a wargaming "podcast" i've been doing since last October. 23 Episodes and counting. Heck, i've even plugged you guys and your games a number of times already. Thanks for your consideration and keep up the good work!

Hi,

I'm a lapsed HAC wargamer from back in the 1970's. I cut my teeth on Avalon Hill and SPI games like Panzer Blitz, Cobra, The Civil War quad, Napoleon's Last Battles, Terrible Swift Sword, and others in Richard Berg's GBACW series. I haven't actively played HAC games for some years now, partly because I've developed other gaming interests, but mainly because I haven't had a HAC wargaming partner for many years. However, I backed the Kickstarter for GTTT and am really looking forward to enjoying a HAC Gettysburg game on my iPad. The battle of Gettysburg holds particular interest for me for it's scale, importance, status as a turning point in the American Civil War and its fascinating narrative. I've read and own several books and have played several games on the subject, including the aforementioned TSS, Martin Wallace's Gettysburg, the recently published and fascinating Guns of Gettysburg, plus a handful of others that I have not had a chance to play, even solo.

I now have a friend who is interested in trying HAC wargames and I thought you might be interested in playtest feedback from a pair of more casual gamers--gamers of the type you are bound to get when the app becomes available on iPad. I have no playtesting experience, but we are willing to give it a go and hopefully provide some useful feedback.

Whatever your answer, I eagerly anticipate the release of the game. Thanks, and keep up the great work.

Hi!
I'm a player with a short (about 5 years) but intense experience in board wargaming, consisting of AH, SPI, UGG and Decision Games titles, but mainly Polish games you probably never heard of. I playtested for only one title before, but I think I'm up for a challenge. I can test plenty as a solarite player as well as with my friends. As I am a volunteer in IPN (Institute of National Remembrance) and take part in preparation of 4th Festival of Historical Comics and Board Games, I can exhibit a copy there, or on Grenadier, one of two biggest Polish conventions centred on wargaming and historical reconstruction-if you wish of course. That would certainly bring up some interest, as those places host prototypes every year-and they are literally besieged. You shall be able to say that you betatested far more than it was needed. That would also bring opinions of those who have a slightly different wargaming experience than statistic American grognard.

As a Civil War buff and wargamer I would be really happy to participate in your project-as it will help to link my interest in battle and particular characters (like E.Alexander or Bufford) with thrill of seeing the effect of your work and thought.

Hi,

I am excited to have the chance to be a play tester for this title. The fact that it is coming to the ipad and that it is a hex based game completes the historical trend from localised board game to a truly globalised and accessible medium playable anywhere with anyone at any time. I have been interested in this period since the epic Ken Burns series. I have been war gaming since 1983 and loved Gettysburg from AH. I have been avidly watching the transformation from card to digital and believe this medium is coming of age. I have 30 years of gaming experience and as a development engineer understand the need for testing and clear reporting. It would be an honour to be selected as a tester for this title.

Thanks

If you are still looking for play testers, I would love the opportunity to help out in the completion of the game. I have been gaming for 35+ years and am a big fan of the ACW; Gettysburg in particular. I have played numerous games related to the war from Across 5 Aprils, The Civil War to some of the newer (albeit lighter) titles like Gettysburg 150. As importantly, I have really enjoyed the system you've put in place with BotB and DoM. I own both and really appreciate the way you have brought the board game feeling to the iOS devices while adding the polish this medium offers.

I have the necessary time available in the coming months to provide feedback on Gettysburg: The Tide Turns and hope you consider me.

Thanks,
Bob

If not too late, would love to help. I have been gaming since the early 1970s through all evolutions of wargames from cardboard through computer. I'm an avid fan of the Crisis in Command series, have spent hundreds of hours on each game, both solitaire and online.

I've played several Gettysburg games, notably SPI's Terrible Swift Sword many times. Also, have visited the battlefield several times.

I was a play tester for Unity of Command: Red Turn, and devoted many many hours to online play to help get the wrinkles out of the scenarios and rules.

I've already submitted several feedback comments on rules errors and inconsistencies in Desert Fox and had acknowledgment from your QA person that these are good catches and will be corrected in future updates.

That's all,

Jon

I have all your iPad games from the day they were issued and love them all. I've played many games about Gettysburg so I have a basic overall understanding of the historical battle. I'd love to play test.

I wonder how much this project is joined at the hip with the Kickstarter board game edition? As a backer for both the IOS and board game versions, it has become increasing clear that Eric Lee Smith and Co. has ripped us off by not producing the board game. The last update for the game was in September 2015 and though it is apparent that he is logging onto the site, he has not bothered to respond to the numerous complaints that pepper the comments section. I am sure Slitherine will disavow any responsibility for the hard copy of the game, which I understand, but still am concerned that I might not receive anything from this project!

Hej

if you are still taking playtesters, I would like to apply..using a window 7 system....and since I doubt the forthcoming iOS game will work on my older Ipad2, I am anxious to at least get some chance at the game :) :)

thanks
