Hello Warlord!
I tried to download your Newbury scenario but failed. Hope you'll solve the problem Pip pointed out. I know very well it's not easy. ATM I try to figure out how to correctly display the description texts, headlines along with the map that comes with the descriptions by editing your Cropredy Bridge scenario. Achieved some modest results I can share with you.
Honestly, sometimes this scripting stuff is driving me nuts! For example: I managed that the scenario description text and the map shows up, but ...
EDIT:
One problem solved and another one appeared:
Seems that there are some script lines missing ...
EDIT 2:
Hurray! I've found the mistake. Now everything shows up correctly:
Warlord, I'll send you a PM with the details. Also I could you my "corrected" version of the scenario if you wish. There were some errors in the scripts and several files missing.

The next riddle I want to solve is how the "deployment mode" can be removed for it's not neccessary with the Copredy Bridge scenario.
I also wonder if an intro is possible with custom scenarios like the ones that come with the vanilla campaign scenarios. - If yes, then how?

Just toggle the deployment mode button in the editor till you get to the button with circles around both flags.

Yes.
It just needs a _map.txt file and the strings to go with it - see /PikeandShot/Campaigns/2EnglishCivilWar/Data/UI for examples. The strings go in the campaign text1.txt file.
If there is a _map.txt file with a name matching the scenario name, the intro will automatically be shown.

Thanks for the quick reply, Richard! I'll try that as soon as I'm back home from work in the evening.

Note that all the UI objects in the _map.txt file have to have different names (the words in square brackets) from ALL other ones in ALL other UI files.
Easiest way to ensure this is to clone Adwalton_Moor_map.txt, rename the copy as Cropredy_Bridge_map.txt (Your .BAM file should be Cropredy_Bridge.BAM) and then search and replace Adwalton_Moor in it with Cropredy_Bridge
That will then work, albeit with the wrong text in the wrong positions and the flags in the wrong positions, but then you can fiddle about with it till everything is as you wish.

Thanks, Warlord! Now it worked.
Took a first look at the scenario: Again a beautiful map, very well done. The description text does not show up, instead the intro messages pop up here and there, seems there's a script error somewhere which swaps the description and intro elements. If you want I can help you to fix that, but not before next week; I'm away for some days.

Thanks for your positive comments nikdav, glad you enjoyed the scenario.
Good to see that you have gone on to read about the battle, nice to see someone wanting to learn as well as play.
More scenario's will be available soon, as I learn more with each one that I make. With Adebar's help the scenario's will improve.
Good luck my friend.
