I somewhat agree with people saying that we do need regular updates. However, developers should create product and not posting something on forums, this is a work for community manager or so.
I am and most of the people here do not care about dates and "promises". Being a software developer for more then 12 years I know the price of so-called "promises"
On the other side, updates should be provided on regular basis (not daily, sure, once a week or two will be fine) in order to get early feedback from the community and to attract more attention to the project, which is critcal nowdays.

Offtopic mode ON
I would be love working with Slitherine, however, last few years I hold architect position and my tools are pen & paper for most of the time

I am not coder anymore, however, my skills are pretty good (at least I think so)
Offtopic mode OFF
People, so, what's up with updates? If the GW are that bad guys who do not permit you to provide us with sweet information, just state this. We all understand

Hi, it's not letting me login correctly but I would like to enter the BETA test. As a fan of Epic Final Liberation I am looking forward to getting this game, and play testing for bugs, balance and overall game flow. Thanks.

It's been nearly a month since we last heard anything. I think it's pretty fair to just nudge for a little information on where the game is at the moment. All I am asking is that one of the devs spends 5 mins giving us a little update before they turn the lights out one evening

. We are all really eager to wage war on Armageddon and any snippet of information gets us all very excited. So go on excite us just a little. Please

What is Slitherine's developers currently working on?
is there a specific team on epic or do they divide their time on different projets
I remember a while back that panzer corps add ons took priority and caused delays
I've noticed more announcements for pike and shot and another wargame?
with one starting beta test
does this mean epic is back of the que again?

Yeah, no updates make me sad.
However, there is a rumor in next thread
http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=235&t=51408. In short there is a reference Epic Armageddon on Steam on next issue of White Dwarf which will be out at 4th of October. Not so long to wait and check
Also Soviet Corps would be nice addition to Armageddon release.

Thanks for the update, It really is appreciated when you let us know where things are

. Fingers, toes and legs crossed now guys to see if we get into the first wave of Beta testers. I would love to have an input in the game prior to release as I am sure everyone else posting here would.

This could have some serious sales figures on sole premise of 40k alone(people are REALLY passionate about their 40k). Heck id already open a steam store page.

I am totally going to echo this. I keep wondering why this game does not have a page in the steam store yet. I also know it occasionally gets talked about on some of the 40K websites. DakkaDakka has several threads dedicated to it, but they are pretty quite as there are no updates. Might be good to ramp up the publicity machine a bit. (and I think we would all volunteer to help spread the news.)
Thanks,
Duncan
