Really nice!
I definitely prefer your "new" stile units. Now I can see all the wheels.

I also agree. Untouched tracks are better. I'll be posting the new versions soon and I will edit my first post, so a link to all completed units (E-10, E-10 Ambush, E-25, Loewe and Jagdpanther B) will always be available.

Here we go. First post in the thread contains a link to all my units.

Very good work! I particularly like the "switchable" E-10... That's so, that after checking that the surfaces where you painted on it the iron crosses were not vertical, but almost horizontal, I found a model image with the same vehica with additional side armor panels, whic give some place to put the insignia on. Check them out... If you like them, I will make the masks for them in order to include them, in the set, if you want to.
Thanks for sharing your work with us here!

Cheers!

I'm not sure whether to add your model or just replace mine with yours. It is
very good. Yes, I would like to incorporate them in the pack. I'll make the mask; I can do the machine gun with my eyes closed. I've done this one once or twice already.
As for stats, a +40 cost, a +3 increase in ground defense and a +1 increase in close defense on top of the stats I quoted earlier? And an introduction date of +1 month?

Ok! But please, don't REPLACE your icons with the ones I made... best to keep both! After all, my work was just a transformation from your original work, so it can be bad, as I started with an already excellent graphic!
About the stats, I think that giving +3 for the addition of the side armor (just side, no front, rear or top) is a little high... May be +1 to GD (or at maximum giving it +2, remember that this unit has the "ambush" switch which gives it more defense) and +1 to Close defense (as you already decided). Also, initiative +1 when in "Ambush" mode...
Thanks for the masks! I like very much the detail of the spare roadwheel marked in secondary colour! Thumbs up!
I just edited the E-10 schurzen icons and replaced them: just gave a little more contrast to the spare roadwheel, as it looked a bit "washed down"...
By the way... Would you be interested in adding a Jagdpanther II (another "paper panzer" unit) in your pack?

I am keeping them both. Between you and me, I think we have created the definitive E-10. I am very happy with the end result.
Your stats suggestion is good. I'll scale down the skirted GD value to +1. Initiative +1 for ambush mode is a good idea.
Have you edited your post with your retouched E-10? If so, I'll incorporate it into the .rar file. (I'll also add two stub files for the equipment info and the efx when they're presentable, Perhaps some bigunit graphics as well).
The Jagdpanther II? I remember playing with it in one of nikkivdd's campaigns, but I cannot find it anywhere. I'd LOVE to add a Jagdpanther II.
An unrelated question. Perhaps you know. I posted some efx.pzdat values, assuming I had cracked its secrets. Not so much. From the file itself: "# Offset is used to properly align animation with unit's icon. Order is the same as in the unit icon file: big icon facing right, big icon facing left, small icon facing right, small icon facing left"
Offset from where? I assumed center individual image. 74,74 Topleft, 222,74 Topright. Not so much. Or do they mean the offset of the animation?

This is just a quick thing to see if they look well.
Early tiger:

- pz6first.png (34.94 KiB) Viewed 4829 times
Tiger. Equivalent to the PC vanilla Tiger I and the same model (I think) used in the Amulet Mod. :

- pz6h.png (36.82 KiB) Viewed 4829 times
If I decide to finish them, I will have to scrub the letters from the turrets, before I shrink them down to size. Given that I have always felt that the vanilla Tiger I was a bit of an odd duck in terms of looks, I just might finish them.

Thanks. Good one, but it's not the one I remember. That one had a blueish sheen over it. It's been a long time though.

Hello Jmacnamara! I am very glad we could understad each other and create toghether a new, very good looking unit. (anyway, credit is for you as you created, and I just modified). I must also say that I like very much your approach on how to make "vanilla looking" unit icons.
Also, I am glad you reconsidered the stats fort the skirted E-10, as +3 looked to high an increment in my opinion.
Sorry, I forgot to upload the new files, but now it is done... Feel free to incorporate them!
"My" Jagdpanther is an icon based on the one Ballermann pointed out, but in this version, I tried to make it look more "Basic vanilla style" to be used as a base icon to be given different camo schemes using the DCS software... I think I was starting to achieve that objective, but then I switched my attention to other projects... Anyway I attach the icons here (AT and indirect fire version) for you to evaluate. I am open to suggestions about how to improve the basic icon before you apply your knowledge and skills on it!

If you can wait a little time, and you show interest in such a unit, I can resume that project and try to make it better looking. After giving a fresh, quick look at them, I think they should be made lighter in tone...
About the animation offstes: I am no expert on that aspect of the game... All I can say about that is that any land or naval icon is in a 296 x 296 pixel square, wher each of the four images (two upper big ones, two lower small ones) are inside a 148 x 148 pixel sector. I think the the numbers are some coordinates counted from the 0,0 pixel (the upper left pixel of the garphic...

Hello guille1434.

I find this cooperation to be very enjoyable! It's a big challenge filling the (virtual) TOE of late war Germany, especially making them look as close to vanilla as possible. A communal effort reaches that goal quicker and with better quality.

I presume you do not have a larger image for these. Color would need to be adjusted, which usually involves a lot of tweaking by eye; not my strongest suit since I'm partially color blind, but if I keep a vanilla Jagdpanther next to it, I might make it match. As it is, if I apply Maus colors to it, the top of the vehicle just flares up. It's solvable though. The only thing 'off' about this model is that the track base seems to be slightly askew to the main body; this may be because of the side skirts. Apart from that, it's a good model.
I wouldn't use this in an ATY mode though. I know you're a big fan of switchable units, but the 8.8cm PaK43, used by the Jagdpanther wasn't typically used with HE ammo. I assume, whichever gun the Jagdpanther II sports, will have the same limit. (See also:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8.8_cm_Pak ... enetration).

No, that's not it. Right facing units have a positive X-axis value and left facing units have a negative X-axis value. I'll dive into a couple of units, their efx values and the animations associated. There must be some fixed formula.

efx value calculation depends on the animation type.
Y value is always: Y-coord of the barrel - 74
X value for ATLight: X-coord of the barrel tip -74 for the left and X-coord of the barrel tip -222 for the right
X value for ATHvy: (X-coord of the barrel tip -74) + 54 for the left and (X-coord of the barrel tip -222) - 54 for the right
