It's a complete mystery to everyone of us. The whole process is automatic.

I don't know if it is a bug or working as intended, but i was used to "elite" up my units before upgrading them... and now i play at crusader, bought an expensive strategic bomber and made my cruisers so crusaders... but after doing this the unit strengh goes back to 10 from e.g. 13? thats quite alot prestige to waste imo :/

That is working as intended. Deducter mentioned something like that. Overstrength is lost when upgrading.

Yes it is intended see the patch notes in the first post of this thread
• Gameplay
o Overstrength is lost after upgrade
This was changed to make overstrengthing more costly and situational. Now the proper order is to first upgrade the unit then overstrength it. If it already is overstregth from a mission before you need to make a decision if you want to upgrade or keep the overstrength.

Any news on this? VPaulus maybe? Do the devs know about this issue yet? (Or the dev I guess. not sure if Rudankort is still the only programmer working on this)

I've already sent an email to Alex about the issue.

Cool thanks

Hoping it's an easy fix

Hello All!
Regarding the advanced options in the DLCs.
- It is a bug. A pretty stupid one at that. The problem is, there is an extra UI screen when starting a DLC campaign (the ine with a list of installed DLCs), and it does not forward advanced settings to the engine.
- As a temporary solution you can change difficulty after the first scenario (DIFFICULTY button should still work).
- Alternatively, you can try the attached EXE. It should fix the issue.
- Next full patch will of course include this fix. Not sure yet when to expect that.

Excellent, thanks for the patch and just figured out how to get the sliders working. Entrenched positions seem considerably tougher to root out. The days of goose stepping through every town appear to be over.

Thanks for the new "exe"!

In order to get the advanced options work with the Grand Campaign, do I have to start the campaign anew (which I guess) or just the scenario? Or will it work instantly?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, good question!I´m looking forward to an answer too...!
But to solve the problem with the DLC´s it is only the Fix from Alex from his post above needed, right? No other things (e.g. edit files...) to do needed?

The new exe is working as far as it's enables the use of advanced options except the new game play rules. To be able to play the DLC's with the new rules you still need to do some additional changes described
here by Magic1111.
EDIT: To be more specific: The randomness settings (chess, dice chess, normal), reform units is working and so are the custom difficulty settings. Tho here if player strength is set to for example -5 it only applies to auxiliary and pre placed core units. If importing own core it doesn't affect it. No matter if the new or old rule set is selected the old rules apply.

Thx Tarrak for clarify!
But what about an answer to this question:
In order to get the advanced options work with the Grand Campaign, do I have to start the campaign anew (which I guess) or just the scenario? Or will it work instantly?

Sorry kind of forgot this question. The changes obviously won't work when you reload a saved game instantly but there is no need to restart a whole campaign. You need just to finish any scenario in your current campaign (you can restart from a save) and then on the end screen go to the difficulty settings and enable the advanced options you wish to use.

Thanks for the clarification.

EXE is working. Thanks for that, too!

Great job anyway!
For the other stuff I am going to wait...
Addendum: After installing the new "exe", I finished Lodz, changed the advanced options and played Piatek. Now I wanted to view my victory, but the replay stops during my first turn. Units were also placed on the wrong hexes and doing false moves. Lodz the same, Danzig and Posen replays are still working correctly. Strange, isn't it? Anything to do with the new "exe"?
Anyway, you guys will surely solve this!
