I don´t know why people is concerned about the tank balance in the early years. It is not that difficult, bebro could achieve that in his mod, and I am not having difficulties so far.

Unit balance is not a problem for a private mod, since I can trust the general (me) not to abuse any flaws!

One way could be to make advanced units with an early version that is Nopurchase - these can be awarded as special core units or made available as auxiliary only. The later version a few months after is made purchasable.
So T34/41a can't be purchased in January 1941 though you can be assigned some as auxiliary or core units, but t34/41b which is available in October or some other later time is purchasable, and so on.

Warning - I just made this up on the spot while staring out of the window, so it might be a complete crock!

I think this is the perfect way to do it. Just because it was ready and you have some prestige doesn't mean you can get them.

KVs and to a lesser extent T-34s are vastly more powerful than anything the Germans can bring until that point, and the IS-1s take over as soon as they come. A tank-loving general like me is going to head straight for the tanks, wasting 10k prestige in one go to get an awesome armada of 14 KV divisions. That is when it becomes a problem.

So it looks like I need B-2 stealth bombers and F-15s then! Hell, 2 of them could probably take on the entire Luftwaffe!

If that is how you want to play it, it's fine with me. I don't know why people get upset about how others enjoy the game (not talking about you in particular). The idea is to have fun and get out of it what YOU want.

Giving the soviet corps DLC thread a bump as well. I want to buy it, Haven´t been around the forums for a year and nothing new so far :/

The development and release of Warhammer bumped some new material for Panzer Corps to a later date. It shouldn't be too long before something new will hit the news bulletin.

Im also waiting hearts of iron IV so it is not a big deal for me if soviet corps release is somewhere near spring 2015. Not enough time to play 2 great games same time
