I'm almost finishing my campaign.
When I start over I intend to use it.

Let me know how you like it. I'll be on a business trip the week after next so I might limit feature additions for a while but as mentioned I plan a few further upgrades still, but those might take a while.

Minor convenience update to v1.0.4761.1340
When tabing from textbox to textbox the content is now auto-selected so when typing and tabbing through the reports you can just keep typing without having to delete the old content first.
Sorry this pretty standard behavior was implemented to late. I guess it annoyed me more than anyone so I finally fixed it
Also Major victory now is named Decisive Victory and Minor is Marginal now, as in the game.

Update v1.0.4761.36886
Some new statistics and a changed unit view. Unit stats can now also be reviewed and those include the hero modifiers.

Thanks for the update, especially the statisitcs are really nice.
Minor bug: The award bonus sometimes does not get carried over to the following scenarios. It is really sporadic but I noticed that a few times (doesn't bug me much though).
Minor suggestion: Upon exit, add a dialogue for a possible save. I accidentally hit the exit button and lost a full save. My own fault but still...

That award thing is strange. "Sporadic" behavior is not really possible here. it always works the same. it would be cool if you could give me a step by step reproduction of this bug somehow.
As for the safety dialogues, yes I plan to add something like that and more in the future as part of a little overhaul of the tool workflow. I also don't like that you can delete reports and units without being asked about it. It's on my list.

Don't forget to mark somehow the units destroyed. After a while it gets annoying to delete the newly generated scenario report for them after each scenario.

Added a new screen in v1.0.4768.536
As for that marking of units.. working on it. I don't have the time at the moment, I'm off on a business trip next week. I'll look into it when I get back.

Now you can select which units to generate reports for.
Also I changed the Kill Ratio statistics to work with decimal values. Especially the progression graph should provide much more usable information now.

Thanks, much appreciated.
Minor bug: I sometimes forget to set a hero bonus in a scenario. If I do correct that, the bonus does not get propagated to the current scenario until I reload the dossier.
Minor inconvenience: Setting the save game name as the dossier name

Can you elaborate these? I'm not 100% sure I get what you mean exactly. How does it not propagate and what does the second inconvenience mean?
Can you describe the expected behavior of the tool?

About the minor bug to give you an example. E.g. I am just at Sedan and noticed while putting in the numbers in that one of my tanks got a movement hero bonus at Narvik. In case I now correct that, i.e go back to Narvik and put in the bonus it won't show up in any of the following scenarios up to Sedan unless I reload the dossier.
About the inconvenience. Well, I compared two different dossiers and managed to overwrite one of them since they had the same name. I know, that's my own stupidity and I should have renamed the save file in the first place. Nothing big, just a slight inconvenience when it comes to me being stupid
Apart from that I really like your tool, it is coming along very nicely. Just putting in the numbers gets slightly tedious in the later campaigns but there is not much that can be done about it.
One thing I really love to see at some point, being able to compare two different dossiers. I always like to play with different setups and that'd be a neat way to see how those setups fare over the course of the whole campaign.

Ah ok, well, that's not really a bug about the heroes since the reports are all independent from eachother. The copying of older data to a new report is just meant as a convenience not as a continuous consitancy check. I don't really want to change that either since independent and not necessarily progressing reports allow for roleplaying destroyed and reformed units while still keeping the statistics for just one unit up.
However, I do plan to handle the entire creation, deletion and editing of reports and units in the future a bit more via wizard like dialogues, which will also support the user in terms of report consistency. Such a report could warn you when adding a hero to an earlier report which is not present in later reports and suggest adding it to the rest.
Such stuff will have to wait until a bigger refactoring of the code which will allow for better implementation of said functionality. And I'm probably going to do that sooner rather than later since some of the code is already bloated with features. Better handling of file names can then be done also, including safety check dialogues etc. (The "do you want to overwrite" dialogue is system built in though, so you had to have ignored that one

)
I cannot give any timeline for this though, after all I'm doing this in my spare time and I still want to play the game every once in a while

But as soon as a missing thing bugs me myself enough, I'll usually start doing something about it
So stay tuned and have fun with the tool until then

One thing for certain, as soon as an allied campaign arrives, I'll unlock further nationalities for selection as core units since I'll be playing those campaigns myself

We'll see about supporting other upcoming games with similar mechanics regarding core, but I'll only do that if it's not too different and if I myself play the game.

UPDATE: Version v1.0.4790.9155

Minor update. Made the unit tree on the left auto-resize to avoid that stupid horizontal scrollbar.
Also after getting too many captured units I decided to add a "Is Reserve" flag to the units. Units flagged as reserve will keep statistics of their own but will not be counted for the core-wide statistics. I added this because i didn't want 7 captured tanks with nearly no experience screw up my core composition and experience etc statistics but I also didn't want to just disbandon them or even delete them from my dossier file, as I still want their individual stats.
Have fun!

For anybody wondering, the tool development is still active. But I'm not so focused on it right now since I'm not playing PzCorps at the moment, waiting for the megapack before I start GC 42. But development will continue, so feature suggestions are still welcome, as is any feedback you might have on how you like it

Another small update. Since the tool is at a good stage right now and I'm taking a break for a while I'll leave the tool as is for now. I'll make sure it gets an upgrade once Allied Corps comes out, possibly with an update in features. Until then, have fun

Hello,
thanks for making this nice tool!
I would use for recording a mod-campaign (Italian, Hungarian) so it would be great if there would be another nationalities too and the tool would collect actual equipment data from the equiment file. Could you do this please?

I have very limited time right now but I'll see what I can do. The equipment file however IS being read- You just have to copy it into the tool's folder like I said. If you use a modded one, copy the modded one over. That is already happening, the tool has no hardcoded unit information. As for the nationalities, I'll see what I can do.

Thank you if you have the time and energy for that.
A little suggestion: it is useful if you always upload the latest version to your first post than it is easy everybody to find the actual version.
