I doubt anyone likes losing core units. How many of us replay turns or entire scenarios just to save a favorite core unit? I know I do. I will let the occasional core unit like a cheap scout or a no experience lower level bonus unit die, but rarely a multi-star, high-end unit. The new cheat would help if I didn't have to remember to turn it on (which I NEVER remember to do, so I don't use it and end up replaying turns). If the current cheat was made a game option like weather that could be turned on permanently, then I think it would solve this problem for most of us. There are definite RPG characteristics to this game, which is one of the reasons we all love it (I have been playing various versions of this game for decades). I agree that you should be penalized for rebuilding a core unit from scratch, and having to use a lot of prestige to do it is a severe enough penalty. It should only be allowed during the breaks between scenarios as it takes time and couldn't be done during a scenario's length's time (IMHO). In real life units were frequently reformed around a surviving core, however there were times when entire units were killed and/or captured when entirely surrounded and this should be a part of the game as well (even though it is like getting kicked in the balls, though I will have to take 4kEY's word on that).
PS - Paulo, I can''t believe you still remember all of the names of Baldur's Gate companions... another great RPG game series.

That's hard to forget.

I've replayed it last year before Panzer Corps was released.

funny thing...I just reinstalled Baldurs Gate Shadows of Amn and expansion Throne of Baal..but honestly...when revisiting these old games the gap between this and Skyrim for example becomes quite obvious...its extremely hard to look at these pixel graphics if you have a 26° monitor

ups...sry for completely OT...

Did you use the widescreen mod? Anyway I was able to play Skyrim for 20 hours before I becoming fade up. I've never felt that feeling with Baldur's Gate.
It's like Panzer General. If you didn't have Panzer Corps I would still play Panzer General (Forever) in spite of the graphics.

Off Topic:
When I get tired of Panzer Corps, I play Open General, see
http://luis-guzman.com/, a modded version of Panzer General II. How many of you guys are/were involved with working on Open General, it seems I recognize some of the user names? I love Luis' suites. I love Luis, what great support. I tried to get back into Baldur's Gate about 6 months ago, but had the same problem with the graphics and game mechanics, just looking too outdated (I liked the first Neverwinter Nights better anyway). I played Skyrim for about 100 hours before I modded it so much it started acting up and I haven't been motivated to go back and figure out the problems.
