radio (Early Achaemenid Persian - Cyrus) 51/49

The Eastern invasion has been bloodily repulsed by the galant Galatian defenders. While the Immortals made a wide flanking move that achieved very limited success, the remaining Persians found no place to hide from the dedicated Galatian warriors. The Persian IC was killed as the final indication of the gods fury at this unwarranted aggression. No camps were captured. Thanks for the game.

Perhaps I should void my challenge against Aristides and challenge someone else?

the eastern armies of IDS Dynasty have narrowly defeated the Seleucid army of Phlewis

Iandavidsmith - Classical Indian 56/61
Phlewis - Seleucid successor 41/39

Seleucid lost a FC
No camps where looted.

It was the Seleucid's game all along , with the Indians out classed
by the pike with open terrain in the middle and some hills and trees to
each side.Only bad luck at the end of the day gave the Indians the first
victory of the campaign.

Thanks for the game
Cheers

Ouch! Apologies - for some reason my emails indicating new posts on subscribed threads stopped. I suddenly realized it had been a long time since I heard anything so checked now, only to see many new posts on many threads! I'm really sorry - if someone has already replaced me, so be it and fair enough. If not, I am ready to battle all foes.

My battle vs. Radio's Lydians is over. Result: Gekkos (deeter) 28/41 vs. Lydians (Radio) 45/45

Oddly, my veteran lancers go annihilated by his LS/cav, while my pikes induced his hoplites to come off a hill to be killed in the flats. The Lydian camp was looted but no generals were lost (although his c-n-c going fragged to LH clinched the victory.)

Good game,

Deeter

Eumenes has completly overthrown the invaders from the east. Being caught on a plain facing hordes of pointy spears was just as bad as it gets for the Indians. Even the late arrival of 500 elephants (I suspect the Indian Generals were on something as I saw no elephants) failed to save the day.

maccsen (Ipsos Alliance) 6/46 vs iandavidsmith (Classical Indian) 61/61

Deeter: Greco-Bactrians 47/43 VS GrudgeBringer: Classical Spartans 18/45 No camps looted Deeter lost 1 Troop Commander

lucky for 'ol' Grudgebringer that Deeter chose the wrong Greco army..built for speed and not Heavy engagement. There were no hills to speak of to get GB into trouble and Spartacus must have been taking a nap.

Deeter played that army about as well as could be played against the HF Spartans

Battle Result Summer Year 1

Turk1964(Carthaginians) 38/53 def iandavidsmith(Graeko Bactarians) 37/37

The Bactarians Lost 1 Field Commander

A good game where the superior numbers of the Carthaginians payed off.A great battle in the woods where the Bactarians(4 MF OS) held of the MF contingent of the Carthys for a long time .They wiped out at least 8 units of MF before being overwhellmed.

Cheers Turk

Fedem Thessalians 35/53 vs batesmotel Later Gatae 57/57

No commanders and no camps lost.

The Thessalians repulsed the barbarians invaders from the lands of their great ancestor Achilles. They avoided the bad terrain and fought on ground they like....

Cheers!
