It's probably silently failing to copy the EXE - check the modified date on BA.EXE. It can do that to try and protect you from code trying to change your installed programs. I would suggest trying again and trying to only copy the EXE across.

You should also check the file CORE/V.TXT, it should contain 00020002.

Guy - just a note. This hotfix is being pretty well thwarted by Vista and 7, so we are going to build a new installer. Iain is going into the office specially. Should be there in a couple of hours. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the new version. I played a bit single player with 2.0.0 on pc and saw no real problems. Download is running for the 2.0.2 version and hope to continue my game.

Pip, is there any hotkey/command switch to enable coordinates? In sandstorm melee I have encountered a group of tanks/RAD and sdkfz which hadn't moved. Maybe script or something else is wrong and I would like to give you the coordinates to check

You need to turn on debug mode. Add the line:

DEBUGMODE 1

to the user.txt file in your My Documents/My Games/BBCBA folder.

I AM STILL GETING THE CRC error on the 2.0.2 beta launch after reinstalled the file about 5 times. Never have had trouble with any other BA beta installs. Thanks for any help.

Is this with the 2.0.2 installer, or the hotfix files? I would suggest uninstalling the beta, then install using the 2.0.2 full installer. That should solve any issues. I feel the hotfix has created more issues than the early release could possibly have solved...

You need to have the full game installed as well. This sounds like the problem.

I have the full game installed(Is OK AND RUNS) and installed the full beta v2.0.2. I had trouble with the earlier version and the hot fix as well. Before downloading the newest full beta, I deleted all the old beta version before I reinstalled it. Still getting CRC ERROR. HOWEVER IWILL TRY AGAIN. THANKS

You have to use the same serial number for the beta and the full game. Make sure you are using your full released serial number.

Found the problem. I was a beta tester for Sea Lion, however I never bought the expansion. Once I did that everything worked perfectly. Thanks. I guess that is what is meant by "Full game installed"

Ahhhh. I think I should have put the warning in there for PC owners too about old Sealion beta installs. Hmmm. That is a pain. I hope nobody else got bitten by it. I will ensure it is fixed for the next round of betas.

Hi everyone. 2.0.4 is now available. We have frankly everything crossed that this is the final version - it's be a somewhat fraught beta process this time around. This version has fixes and improvements to the force selections in the MP missions.
