Glorious. I see Sharkie-boy took the Scots in Britain for the same reason I did, the Highlanders sure are great.

HI, Martog here

Sad new from the wilds of somewhere ... Scots Isles & Highlanders lost to Batesmotels Medieval Irish (Early) 45/41 to 22/56, which I think makes it a 6:2 victory to them ... not only the ignominy of the wooden spoon then for the Scots

Well I have thought of the name for this comp.

To remind us all of the hacking thing it will be called "The Groundhog Day Cup"

or maybe not, any suggestions out there?

Jonno (7/41) bt tullius (22/31)

Jonno = 4 pts (1 + 3 for 50-75% casualities), tullius = 1 pt (1 + 0 for 0-25% casulties).

My strategy of sitting on a hill with a pile of crossbows and artillery and just shooting at him for ten turns proved susceptible to outflanking. Plus I did my usual thing of leaving the rear end of my valuable units open for a free kicking - having him charge and rout my superior knights with a bunch of MF crossbowmen was a rare treat. Only happens when you park them facing backwards next to a tree

When I set up the game I chose very crowded. Was a bit surprised myself when I saw the map, but I never asked Sharkall about it.

Seems to be a common problem regards crowded map :? The game between Myself and zumHeuriger we both chose very crowded and ended up with a map i would describe as open with terrain to the edges of the map. Not congested or mountainous as one would have expected

There are plenty of very crowded maps that are fairly sparse, or have terrain that counts as crowded, like impassable terrain, gullies, rivers and such. Like my battle with gazxtrix, it barely has any difficult terrain at all that I can use, it's mostly impassable and rivers, with a bunch of trees on the top, and since he is at the top, naturally his troops aren't in the forest, so my precious highlanders aren't that useful after all.. And since the guy who wins initiative chooses, of course they'll choose a map that suits them. It's quite likely that at least one of the four maps isn't that full of bad terrain, despite being "double very crowded"

yes, of course I chose very crowded, too :)
@Tiavals: of course, with 10 turns to play there's not so much value to arrows, so I guess attack all the way style, like we enjoy to play

I have a question, how do you end the game ? suppose player A started the match. Then A plays turn 10, B plays turn 10, ends the turn, gets the rallies (if he's lucky), then player A resigns the match on the beginning of his 11th turn ?

Rexhurley, Later Granadine 47/45 v cromlechi, Yorkist Pretender 20/46

43% v 100%

hope this bit is right:

rexhurley 2 pts (1 + 1)
cromlechi 6pts (1 +3 +2)

Rex picked a challenging army in fairness, so the score flattered me really.

The Fast and the Furious :)

Ending the game

Sharkall - The person who finishes turn 10 resigns.

Fedem - "The Fast and the Furious" - could we be sued:)

Tiavals - About the terrain. Yep spot on. I think batesmotel wrote up a small description of how terrain falls. I think the larger the margin in initiative, max could be a 10 vs 1, it will be more very crowded, more open. If there was a difference of 1 on inititiative, less very crowded. Not sure if there would be ways to improve it?
