Wow ! Excellent work !!! It's really getting serious. :D You're almost done with the infantry units.
I like the paras a lot. :D :D

For Fascist Militia.
You can use regular Slovak infantry icon and make their uniforms black. (No blue rim and no double cross on the helmet).
Image
Image

For mountain infantry.
Please use field caps instead of helmets.
Would you be able to make Slovak field caps ?

You're doing an amazing job. I want to thank you again. :)

@bebro Thanks for the link. :)

@rezaf
However, I do think I have a SM.84 lying around. Probably italian skin, but could be possible to manipulate it. Let me know if you want it Augustin.
Yes it would be great. :)

AugustinMalar wrote:Greatings Panzer Corps icon makers and modders ! I need your help. :)

I've made many campaigns for Panzer General 2 as Arpitec http://pg2.wikia.com/wiki/Arpitec which is a game that look very much like Panzer Corps.

Now I'm enjoying Panzer Corps and I'm planning to make a Slovak campaign for this great game. :)

I need someone to create some units and icons from scratch.

VPaulus has already started to skin some units in the game to make them look Slovaks.
Please check this link: http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26246

But he won't be able to create the other Slovak units that I need for my campaign.

Here's a list of the units:

Slovensko 20mm vz36 AA
Slovensko 88mm vz37 AA
Slovensko 84mm vz22 AA

Slovensko 47mm vz36 AT
Slovensko Marder 38T H AT(done)

Slovensko Sm.84bis TB
Slovensko S.328 TB
Slovensko A.100 TB

Slovensko He-111P-1 SB

Slovensko C-445 ATP

I'll tell you which one I need to be created if you ask me :)

Slovak campaign:

1, Border war with Hungary
2, Polish Campaign
3, Battle of Lipovec
4, Defense of the river Mius line
5, Battle of Rostov
6, The Drive into the Caucasus
7, Attacks towards Tuapse
8, Stalemate in the Caucasus
9, Soviet "Operation Mountains"
10, Slovak National Uprising
You should make a campaign or scenario on a 1938 invasion of Czechoslovakia by Germany

There is an icon of German SS infantry made in black uniforms. I have it in my files. Someone requested it and I think Zombiehunter made it. The person said they had special black uniforms for combat, but I doubt that.

If you want to use that icon, it could easily be done for the Slovak troops in black uniforms.[/img]

Actually, it was me that requested the black uniform, but not because I think it was predominantly used in combat at any time but just because I felt it looks kinda iconic.
I think the uniforms saw some combat use, but afaik, real SS units in real combat wore a special feldgrau uniform - I'm far from an expert though, and thus might be wrong.

The Black Uniforms were for Special Guard Duty or Special Parades and while all SS troops were authorized to purchase and wear them as dress uniforms the only unit that used them prevalently was the Liebenstandarte,,but again for parades and so forth ,,not field duty.

This is why initially the Liebenstandarte's was derisively called "Asphalt Soldiers" by the SS-VT (the precursor to the Waffen SS).

They initially did not offcially answer to Paul Hauser or Felix Steiner . Hauser was the Inspector of Training and had set up the Ofc. academies and cirrirculum at Braunschwieg and Bad Tolz and Steiner was the man who set up the TO&E and field doctrine of the SS-VT (both men had been SturmTruppen Ofc's in WW I and got along very well w/ Guderian) . The LSSAH 's manpower did not rotate out of the standarte and they did not formally attend any of the SS-VT schools (if they went to any "school" they had to take a leave of absence from duty for the lenght of the school). Sepp Dietrich finally came around and made the LSSAH a real part of the SS-VT and allowed the LSSAH's men to be assgigned to other units and attend formal training.

While the SS-VT /Waffen SS did wear Feldgrau ,the Panzertruppen Uniform and the Sturm Artillerie Truppen Uniform ,they were also the 1st combat units of the Wehrmacht to make large scale use of Camo. The camo patternts were 1st used in Poland.

The use of camo was so prevelant in the Waffen SS by 1942 they were actually making some dress uniforms in camo patterns

This is the pattern I use as camouflage. Mind that I use different kind of zooms.

If by any chance the camouflage won't work well with the 3D program, I can skin the unit. No problem with me.
Thx a bunch, grabbed it. Yeah, I can't use it directly, but it is no biggie to make a texture from it.

If the Hlinka Guard used long coats, as it seems in this 1938 picture, then perhaps we could use the Soviet Conscripts icons as the base.
Image

If that's the case I've made two black version, whose the only difference is the black tonality applied to the whole coat.
One is lighter. I still don't know what colour to use for the helmet, if the traditional brown or black.
Image
The lighter seems to work better in certain tiles.

Can I use this as the militia icon?

Yes, the lighter one.

I still don't know what colour to use for the helmet
They used standard Slovak army helmets (Mk 32) in the same grayish-green paint cover as the army used

Ok. Than I'll paint the helmets.
As for the mountain, I've not enough skill to make a field cap. Sorry. But I have a lot of limitations in drawing.
I've tried to reduce one froma photo, but it would look bad.
So what me want to do?
Use the the German Gebirgsjäger and changed the colour of the uniform?
Or any other mountain units. Maybe you should check the mountain units, both the smaller and the big.
Tell me what you think it will fit better.

I did check them. Please use West Allied Mnt (bigunits). The one used for "Chasseurs Alpins".

Yes :)

It looks like they're wearing field caps...well maybe berets. Please just change the color of the icon.

Ah well, I tried to add the slovak markings, but the icon ended up pretty darkish, and when I try to retouch it, it ends up looking messy.
I'm providing the icon as-is, maybe it can be of some use to you - otherwise nothing is lost.
My apologies, but I'm currently not at the liberty to sink hours into making PzC icons.

I still have to add some small details, and the texture does not sit correctly right now, but as said, will be completed then this weekend.
