Just finished the original Dnieper as the Germans. I feel they are not that weak but do need help. I was beaten back badly first but after 7 turns started to turn things around and destroyed most of any Russian units of value eventually, but couldn't kill the Conscripts quick enough who kept spawning. It's interesting to see that an army of almost all Conscripts can very well hold off all the fancy German units. I had 4 units awarded Iron Cross 2nd class in this one, but too bad no Hero showed up. It seems if I can have 2 more turns I should have a good chance to win.

I agree with all the changes except reducing the Russian starting prestige. The Russians need to attack very hard at the beginning. That is the fun part of this Scenario. 900 just seems too little.

BTW, I have a question about Operation Huntress: at the German Town (15,26), because of the 15cm Nblwf down there, the Strong point can always force the Britich Para back, thus allowing the Germans to build 2, 3 Tigers right there in the first turn. This will make the rest of the game very 1 directional and removed a lot of choices the Allies may have. I'm not sure if this is intended as designed. I thought it will be more fun if the British can have all options open. So can the Nblwf be removed or relocated?

Whenever someone does that to me, I just sent the Panther in the opposite direction and stall those Tigers with infantry. Works every time.
Even so, you cannot purchase Tigers on that map any more.

Oh, you can't buy Tigers anymore? That sure have solved the problem. It was just my earlier experience that when that happened, the game was much less fun as both sides know where the panther is going and things became just tactical.

BTW, in the original campaign, can those unbalanced scenarios (Poland, Overlord, Bagration, Balaton, Germany) be modified for MP play (separate from the campaign ones)? Many of those are good maps.

I've played some Norway, Greece, Kiev, Stalingrad, Italy, and Gustav line. They seem already quite balanced, maybe some minor adjustment. Kursk is not far off either.
