Brilliant weekend
someone asked for my Tatar list so here it is, definitely a an army list that follows the KISS principle
4 TC
4 * 4 Armoured superior cavalry bow swordsmen
8 * 4 unarmoured superior cavalry bow swordsmen
4 * 3 unarmoured average dragoons arquebus
all moves the same speed, just nice and simple. plus lots and lots of mounted which keeps me happy
Cheers
Alasdair

Great report Simon - some days you're the statue and some days you're the pigeon - I think it was crumb time for you. If it wasn't bad enough having to face Alasdair, it was all cavalry (predictable with Aladair) and the dice gods were on the side of the steppe horseman!!
I look forward to the next reports!

I have to agree with Don, that's a great write up Simon I look forward to the rest of them.
And for all of you that said Alasdair wouldn't let me use any troops the pictures prove you wrong.....okay I didn't get 50% of the army but I had enough!

At Oxford the question was even asked where you were real or just attempt by Alasdair to make out he had a partner for Usk. I knew it was not true. But it is true that Ben and I were routing for Don and steve to beat you by one more point.
Both Ben and I want to thank Richard for a great competition. I enjoy coming to Usk and I see the bridge is fully repaired.
Roll on next year. 19 and 20 January 2013, if I remember the sign in the bar.

It has been broken and repaired several times since I last hit it.

Thanks Simon -two more great reports. We faced off against Italian Wars French armies each with two elite keils. Frontally they're almost invincible.
The way to beat them is to get behind them and smash their rear - not easy with a foot only warrior army. Our horse stopped the keils coming forward against us but equally we didn't have the strength to take them on frontally - hence two draws!!!
I look forward to the next report!!
