To add to the favorite list of movies about WWI- my favorite is this one Joyeux Noël (2005) - a european co production that is oustide the normal propaganda movies and shows all sides without prejudice and quite realistic - it is based on a true story Christmas 1914 and the fact that troops had to be circled around the western front cause after a while sitting in trenches close to each other - they would build friendship and stop shooting at each other
