Its a first test map -I do nothing with the map tiles - its a rough map from Massi without fine tuning.
Have you tried use my maptiles Rolling Eyes ? change the look well. with many small villages Wink
Yes - but Now I think your modern map tiles are to brightly, we need exacrly the same textures, shadow effects and light effects like the original - your hex tiles are nice , but are not 100% compatibly with the original background tiles - the angles, no shadows etc. I will set some new with poser, do show you what I like. Sorry - but its not possible yet !

If you told me to use the original maptiles, I avoided using my stationlayer.
the project is very ambitious.
Mike you seem too demanding for this project and in general.
I will not be able to continue with this rhythm ...
I prefer to dedicate myself to what I really like units, and map tiles.
I do not gratifies to make maps...

Hi Massi,
Yes teh map is not the problem - I must rework at - you forgot to many things - I will start a new one - np.
What I talk to you - your map tiles look very good, but for PC they looking like they come from a other game - the light and shadow harmony with the PC tiles are only 20-30%. The best way is , I produce some 100 new buildings with poser with exactly the same shadows and wall and roof textures like the original and setting all together on different tiles with an different road cross system - with Gaps / full fill outs in clockwise direction, separately for village - surburb - city - indutrial and special building tiles. Its the same working wise with my old JTCS meets PG3D art.

I hope , we can finish our first plan - the Northern Plaine scenario in 3-4 weeks. We need to produce many new units and we testing the game balance for modern weapons.
We will bring up an very nice playable scenario !

I am just curious.
The most from my old game JTCS meets PG3D WW3 - now reworked for PC (only 3 sec.) - some new created

What do you think about changing the colour of the BW uniforms? Same colour as the helmets (NATO olive) would be fine as well as some grass and leafs for camouflage purposes on the helmets. Just a suggestion.

No chance - I take the uniform texture from a original uniform of 1985-1996 - also my own uniform was in the same texture - I am between 1995 to 1998 in the Bundeswehr ! Its not a modern uniform - its the uniform from 1960 to 1996 !!!

I've asked in a number of threads but not got an answer, so I'll try again here.
You will be making units that have longer range because they have longer range in moderns and you are using a 1km = 1 hex scale.
How will you deal with the game engine treating direct fire over 1 hex as though it is artillery i.e. units will be able to fire through cities, mountains and forests?
Just curious if you have a workaround.

Yes I use 1km = 1 Hex. I tested a longer range version for WW2, it runs fine, but you can only fire without Approximately fire - don't run fine with the PC game balance and main program. What we need is the same like in Peoples General - here you can fire over a distance and the enemy can fire back also over 2 or 3 hexfields. Also right - PC let the units fire without sight (through cities, mountains and forests) - thats very bad yet !
I hope - some things come better with the next upgrade.

It would be nice to have that feature added, not only for your 1 hex = 1 km scale, but also for even smaller tactical scale 1 hex = 100 metres, but that is not what the developers had in mind with PzC, I'm sure.
BTW your mods look great - there must be a huge amount of work in these maps, units, graphics etc and I read elsewhere that you have used professional voice overs. Do you sleep?
