That is a shame Graham won't be coming. We haven't experienced much of the Roman swarm down in Australia (except for Shaun) so I was looking forward to seeing Graham maneovure all over the place (although I didn't it enjoy it much when Shaun ws dancing everywhere, I must say).

Rather chuffed with yourselves aren't you.

So if NONE of these people are in top 3 what is the penalty?

1. Shaun Drummond
2. Dan Hazlewood
3. Graeme Evans

I shall endeavor to deliver, but don't go laying real money down. I having been muffing my practice games something fierce.

Dan

Having seen some of their play at Britcon, I shall be very surprised if neither Drummond or dave_r make the top 3 - and mightly impressed by the 3 players who top them (now if Dalby and Oliver were going as well...). Also remember Powell has a beer on this - this is serious and he usually gets things right when there is a beer involved...

Somebody will lose beer - we have a tie break, which I think in this case will be the top placed Australian (as nobody has picked an Australian).

Incidentally - there is beer involved in these match-ups, so the usual sympathy vote is out the window - these are genuine beliefs.

Yes I agree. Anything less than total victory for them is a shame that can't be suffered.

I wouldn't worry, I haven't played a game of FoG since early December and the last time I used the army I have entered to the WIC was at the Celtic cup which was IIRC in July last year or some other similar long time ago.

Hi David, tell Lynda thanks for the best wishes, it is a real pitty you could not make it this year. Hope everything is going well with Lynda's treatment, looking forward to seeing you both when I get back.

Don't start them off again, I am getting enough flak as it is.

Speaking of victory - are you doing Lisbon this year and which period are you going to hide in this year?

Are you going to be helping umpire? Because if you lose to anyone who doesn't carry a British passport you are going to be sent down to the DBM divisions.

We of course don't know period breaks yet. But if they are a repeat of last years I will not be in 1 and probably not 4.

Ruddock: we are still waiting to hear about JD organizing a firing squad. I don't think you're safe yet.

As long as the firing squad is American I will be safe. They'd miss.

Is there any news on everybody being OK?
I tried to text Dave Ruddock but have not heard anything yet.

I haven't heard from anybody else yet - Wellington is OK, but Christchurch has been hard hit. Obviously at this time our thoughts are with anybody who is there, or who has relatives there.
