Just challenge me and get on with it! :D I'm here lot's but never exactly sure when. I am certainly not offended by peoples playing times being hit and miss.

I am pleased to say I have not had a single negative during my battles.

It seems everyone is also willing to fight out the map even when their fight seemed hopeless, making me earn the victory.

I suspect a few battles have been conceded (I play so many I might have failed to notice if one of my adversaries has dropped out), but generally it seems everyone is playing in a very good sporting fashion. I have admitted defeat on a few maps when it was plain it was over and I have surrendered the win.

I have only noticed one detail. Try as I might, it is nearly impossible to get in a situation where you have to shoot it out on turn one in most cases. New players playing a map for the first time, want to guard against being overly timid. You need to have something danged fast like the German 8 rad to even reach the opposition on turn one. And in most cases the deciding terrain is in the middle map area and you want to be careful to not surrender the initiative too willingly.

That there is NO specific VH locations as we speak in the initial maps, means the game is a Chess match. You ain't winning till you take out enough key units of your opponent for them to have a decent chance of losing. The fort in the desert game is also a beeeoch :) So you have it, big deal, trying sitting in it under a 150 barrage or a Bomber strike :) Neither side can really claim this position easily just by sitting in it. My current map to hate, Over the Hill. Most unforgiving map for mistakes in my opinion.

Im going to pick up this gem later tonight, mainly for the seemingly great multiplayer community :D also for the history and the quality of the production. Count me in for some mp games :D noobys prefered, for now ;)

I like the MP so far. Even if I'm only loosing. No background playing tactical games online. But there are days when I can do only one turn and some days where I can do more then one. Between the SysTray program seems nice.

No problem finding people which like to have some fun beating me :) Looking forward.

My online record is also a little light on the wins column - but I still find it fun to grab a game every now and again, when I'm not busy working on all the updates we want to get out there!

Cheers

i am playing 7 multiplayer games right now. have finished 3 of them so far. multiplayer is excellent system. however it needs an objective based mode not just annihilation.

also just thinking about it, are 2v2 and 3v3 possible? that would be cool if you could implement it somehow.

We've considered that for sure - but it's a fairly large undertaking, as it means being able to send games around to multiple people, meaning different server setups, different UI for multiplayer lobbies, etc.

Perhaps a coop approach could work, as you could effectively accept a challenge, but internally the code would know which units you could order around and whether the turn should end. Could be cool to have one player be the trapped paras, and another be the rescue force :).

Objective MP is coming very soon in the next update - which is imminent.

Cheers

To my opponents. No I have not 'burned out' on the game or lost interest or any of that.

Sadly I have merely been unable to play and nothing beyond that.

I'm hoping to wade back into the fray shortly though. Just suffering some personal brownout is all :)

BA is first MP game I have ever bothered with in 20 years. It's that good.

I noticed almost all FoG MP games are locked. That's okay for now, as I want to start with a starter battle anyway.

I never let the MP games locked bother me. When I want a game with other than the normal players I play I just leave an open challenge and in both BA and FoG I have never waited more then a few hours to have it picked up. Now how do I get rid of the 3 games that other players have not done thier turns since the middle of August?

+1

I´m just learning... And it´s difficult for me to finish each campaign´s scenario with all the stars (or secundary objetives), so I think it´s going to take long!

EDIT: BTW, below my avatar, I can read the words "RANKING", and below of it "Battlefield Academy played: 24 times" or something like that. I suppose these´re the games I´ve played against AI, aren´t they?

I´ve this question because I also bought "Field of Glory" and I´ve played against AI 5 or 6 times. Why it doesn´t show this? (sorry for my English or/and silly question... ).

Thank you in advance!

Have you registered your copy of FoG? If not it wont show your data. If you have registered check you have not turned off the rankings on your MyPage.

Yes, I have registered both my copy of "Field of Glory" and "Battlefield Academy". I bought them at MatrixGames (maybe is this the problem...?).

I had a look to my Profile (I cannot see any option called "MyPage") but I cannot see the option about "rankings" or anything like that... :?

I think I´m doing something wrong...
