It's bizarre. I think it often happens when gfx card makers try and get better benchmark scores, and the cards don't have as good cooling as CPUs tend to.
The warnings are because we put in a limit of one per type of bonus (for UI reasons) and we must have missed some (all?!) of the missions prior to this release.
Cheers

panzershrecks make no noise when attacking...and i STILL lost!! 9 times on one mission.. aaarrghhh!..mortars actually do something now...

the .30 calibre american mg performs better too!.. shame mortars and a.t. cant move just 1 square per time!! i can just about push my golf lol! .the german tanks still feel more able to move and shoot, than the yanks. but the yanks had giro stabilisers, so feels a bit unfair

other than the box not shutting all through the mission, it has a much more balanced feel...what happened to the sneak functiion?.. it's been replaced with hunt!! trucks cant hunt.. well apart from hedgehogs i suppose lol!

Relating the axis to allied tanks, I think things are fine as is, though Tigers and King Tigers have whoping 4-to-1 against odds for breaking down. That seems quite a large penalty (too large?). They already have such a high profile disadvantage and poor reaction disadvantage, and to be honest the armour looks more scary than it really is when you compare to other decent tanks. Their movement is quite poor (though that should be historically accurate).
The change in sneak is interesting, and to be honest I'm still not sure 100% how it's supposed to work. As I understand, sneak may add less casualties. Well, I used to toggle tanks on sneak when they were sitting idle but it seems now you can't do that as you need to move. Perhaps then, sneak doesn't really do anything unless you are on the move so it doesn't matter anyway? I THINK even if you are not in sneak, as long as you stay stationary on a tile for a whole turn, you get the same bonus as you would if you were moving through it but toggled in sneak mode?
This seems to be my #1 curiousity about the game at the moment.

When in sneak modeinfantry take much less casualties and get more benefit from cover.
In sneak mode units move and fire more accurately.
Units in sneak mode are less likely to be reacted to by enemy units so you can sneak around a corner more easily and get off the first shot.
If you did not move you are effectively in sneak mode.

Do you mean the script debug window with the warnings? I think you can toggle it with F6, although perhaps not in the beta

Back to the sneak mode again. I noticed when moving along a diagonal, if my unit suddenly spots a circle of sand-bags, even if there isn't an enemy showing up inside it, I get my allowed movement suddenly shortened, and my unit then comes to a stand-still before it gets to its projected location.
I am not sure if this is a bug, or by design. I suspect an over-looked glitch, due to the way the the math numbers work with traversing angles along squares instead of hexagons?

Hmmm - not something I have noticed, but it's possible that it's not taking into account sneaking multipliers when refunding your APs.

You will get your move shortened if you come under fire, even if it misses. Basically they hit the dirt and have to end the turn there.
If you sneak part way you may take a route that is not optimal to the final tile and prevent yourself reaching a tile that woudl have been in range if you had targetted it directly. E.g. if you go in a L shape to stay in cover instead of diagonal.

Alright, I don't have a problem when coming under fire. But it seems strange they would HIT THE DIRT just because they spotted a circle of sandbags. I guess it could make sense.

Just ran into the same problem again. This time I simply wanted to SNEAK 2 tiles to the East instead of going diagonal. As soon as I moved the first square over, I spotted a Bren carrier far off in the distance. Despite it didn't spot me, nor fired upon me, the game simply refused to let me finish sneaking into the second tile over. So I was stuck there having moved only one tile on a non-diagonal?

2)" The defensive fire logic is hopeless. I place 2 Puma's and a Panzer IV watching a gap in the hedges expecting enemy tanks to flank. I have 3 shots with each vehicle available as I didn't shoot any of them in my turn. Two Chaffee's appear with a truck and fire multiple times killing all 3 without my guys firng once. Also I question the veracity of the odds for the Chaffee's to hit at what seems to be long range in this game while on the move so easily".... this is a quote from 'pantherboy' ( i dont get how to quote on the forum!).... this is what i'm trying to explain in my move/fire topic posted a couple of days ago... i had 2 or 3 tanks covering each entrance point an the german tanks waltz in and destroy 2 or 3 tanks each, even though they are sg111's ( assault guns without gyro stabilisers!) without any of my tanks able to take a pot shot!.. i know focused fire is effective,. but units do get isolated and 'strung out' sometimes, and should be able to have a chance, especially in hunt mode..it's still a tank after all!! i've done the truck thing too , but it's true,...you do run out of trucks quick!

but back to the defensive fire thang.. it (in my opinion needs tweaking!

) also f6 doesnt close the script box, although i understand it will! .. i've just read 'strebe's 20th may comment and it says pretty much the same thing too.

Yep - this has been added to the bug list. The criteria for tanks engaging on reaction fire is a % chance to kill. This is set too high for units that are visible. A visible unit should take any chance it has at short range. Hidden units are ok to hold fire.

Damnit, again I got raped because I was sneaking then spotted some sandbags and got stuck with almost no movement. The irony of it is, after you have played the map already the first time you already then know clear well there is a bunch of sandbags there already. Grrrr.

Can you explain exactly what you did - if you spot someone while sneaking it should not end your turn.

Lets assume you have an infantry in building A. Now you want to SNEAK across a road tile and into another building B on the other side of that road.
So you put the cursor over tile B, and tell it to SNEAK. It is just a distance of 2 tiles so you'd think there should be no problem. But instead, if you happen to suddenly see an enemy unit come into your vision as soon as you move onto the road, your movement basically stops there since the game for some reason removes action points, despite nothing even transpired.

Thats definitely not supposed to happen. It doesnt happen when you move, only when you sneak? Do you have a saved game where it is repeatable?

I set up a world-builder test to duplicate it. Funny thing, now it actually works. Yet every time I'm playing I get nailed by this damn thing.
I'll try to do a lot more saving in the near future, so we'll get this one stomped.
