Turn 28 - Feb 22, 1941:

The BB ambush near Brest included a hidden sub to intercept the BB if it fled to port. Instead of fleeing the RN chose to leave the BB in position and instead sailed a DD into the hidden sub. :(
Even worse, the RAF badly defeats the covering German FTR 2 steps to 4 and heavy airstrikes are made against the wolfpacks. Clearly the British are getting the best of this situation, however it should still be possible to destroy the trapped BB with an attack from Brest port.

In the Med the British subs disappear and another Italian invasion flotilla moves into position east of Athens. Perhaps next turn the war against Greece can finally commence. The RN has taken quite a beating from the Luftwaffe including 3 BB's damaged, 2 SUB heavily damaged, and a CV sunk.

I just used this strategy, the early blitz through Belgium and it worked a real treat. Paris fell on Feb 28. The only mitigating factor was that my Allied opponent didn't send any UK forces to France.
