I like the way Pete doesn't say what army they are for - can we penalise him if they are not the right figures for his army
Harsh!
To Bob & Colin - thanks very much for your kind offers. Anything vaguely Parthian or Armenian would fit the bill. To save putting you both out I believe Bob is using 25mms from his previous post so if that's okay I'll borrow Bob's?
Thanks again - see you all on Friday - let's hope it is a good one!

When do we expect runners & riders?
Then I can reveal all.

That's fantastic Bob - thanks very much.
Unfortunately I'm out of the country until Friday morning but I'll see you then.

whilst interested in the R&R, I can safely say that I (and I think the majority of competitors) would prefer Pete not to reveal all, and have no interest in Nik's Cajones....
Unless Nik has Cajones that extend to taking pike into woods against Almughavars or Dailami.....thought not...

2 LH armies and 2 Dominate Romans???????? I'm gobsmacked. The most ruthless competition types hardly used. The rules must be broken.
I'd have taken Xi Xia or some other lancer'ish Chinese myself.

I make it 8 that can have significant amounts of LH plus 6 Ottomans, but then I don't care, although I did have one thought ,how about restricting the use of steppe terrain to games where both armies have it in their list, that should cover the majority of occasions when steppe armies faced others ,ie invading,,you can still do Crassus just agree to pick it

About a dozen knight armies plus the Ottomans might have Serb allies. Still, nothing that can really take on decent feather armour and a trusty glass sword surely?
Rgeards
Lord Corduroy Burping Frog Trousers

Lots of battles in Western Europe involving the Huns had very little if any terrain.

By which, I assume, that the
one battle that we have any idea of the terrain of has little terrain ...
