It has been mooted in the past but I don't think it was very popular with the non Brits.
Why not ? DIVIDE AT IMPERA ;)

We could easily send northern and southern US teams. But again. not fair to others.

This would have a high level of amusement value, as the South could finally try to rise again.

The irony when the Army of Northern Virginia (aka Beltway Bandits) crushes them would be delicious.

The Beltway Bandits being from Va are from the south. A northern team would be an Illinois / New England combo.

I'm trying to put together a Barbarian team for the ITC in Lisbon 11th/12th September. Currently I have an Australian and a Canadian/American. Due to a drop-out I have careless lost a Kiwi but am looking for suitable replacements!
So if you're a FOGgy Barbarian, preferably from a nation not represented in those already attending:Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, UK, USA, then get in touch with me asap!
So Germans, Belgians, Norwegians, Swedes, Aussies, Kiwi's etc are ideal Barbarians!
Hope you can join our merry crew.

Regards

Dave M

Ethan, The Army of Northern Virginia was an honorable organization.
Southerners think of the Beltway Bandits as capable Carpetbaggers.

Lisbon is the only tourney where ABB does not apply.
Good luck and good hunting.

So does this mean we have a Milan heavy Italian team?

It will be fun to see my friends there again...it has been since Helsinki.

Peter are you on the team?

It's an anti-Milano team (in the sense opposite, rather than against); virtually all Roman and no Milano players.

Not going myself although I could of done - not playing so much these days, better to have a team with players who have had match practice!

Well it depends on which team you are rooting for! I fear Spain is on such a victory lap in international events they may be the sleepers to win.

Sorry to miss you.

It will be a shame not to see you Peter - perhaps we could have a celebrity Sun Cream distributor or something :)
