Current Rankings - M1 hasn't finished enough games yet to post.
The map look very detailed with shining colors. Any tip for that?Karvon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 11:44 pm Regular Division
Karvon's Seljuq Turkish (East) 1037-1194 AD defeated Indibil's Armenian (Cilicia) 1100-1154 AD 61 - 29.
A medium woods and rough patch anchored our left sector, and a medium woods anchored our right. Large gentle hills with scattered rough lay in the center and right towards the Armenian side of the field.
We deployed a division of mixed horse archers on our far left as a diversionary force. Two such divisions we placed on our right, along with a small division of Dailami foot supported by elephants, and screened by light foot along the edges of the woods on our right. Light horse from each division formed a loose screen across the front to locate the enemy early, while our own troops were deployed rather deep to avoid such detection. Our plan was to skirmish wide on our left with a single mounted command while pushing hard on our right with the rest of our army.
The Armenians deployed an infantry division made up of massed bow, some defensive spear, and medium foot in the center. Mounted divisions with knights, supported by Bedouins, formed up on each flank. A division of light archers screened the mounted on their right.
The Armenians responded to our early push on the left by shifting their mounted and light foot to contain and drive us back. We gave ground slowly, drawing them further and further from the rest of the action into the our far left corner. Eventually, we lost most of the division, but kept the opposing troops out of the main fight.
On our right, the Armenians mounted aggressively drove back our scouts onto our supporting horse archers and awaiting foot and elephants. These shot up, and then swarmed and destroyed them.
We regrouped and fell upon the Armenian foot command, flanking and destroying most of the spear and mediums, and overrunning their massed bow with repeated charges from all sides with our horse.
If you're referring to the physical appearance, I dislike the original Medieval high gloss look, so downloaded and installed the mod that changes the map images to more similar to Ancients.GeneralKostas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2026 4:32 pm
