I’m testing and fine‑tuning :) I’ll add some screenshots to show that the states and other elements work :)
This won’t be a quick attack — no, battles here will be fought for every house, forest and factory. This map requires real thinking/strategy.

Hi Tomas45,
I’m sure there are quite a few people interested in your projects – your maps really look impressive!

I was just wondering why everything has to go exclusively through Discord. Would it be possible to make the maps available here on the Panzer Corps forum as well – for example via a Mediafire or Google Drive link?

That would make things much easier for outsiders and help more players discover your work. I’m not saying this for myself – I also create maps and scenarios – but I really believe this forum is the perfect platform to share projects with the wider community.

Best regards,
Tobi

The map looks so nice !

However, I think you have confused the portuguese flag with the belarussian one in several cities
It's very surprinsing to see a South Korean base in Portugal or an Indian one right next to a Chinese one, but I'm looking forward to see the ultimate brawl, so yeah : bring them all !!!
Akkula's/Stormbringer Europe 2022 is the grounded approah : here it It will be the glorious chaos !

About your question, I don't know how to create units yet, I just know how to modify existing one. I know how to change their stats, redraw icons, change names, starting date for a campaign, etc... but creating them from scratch : still no.
However, documentation exist. Here is a link if you want to learn : viewtopic.php?t=31163
I have quickly looked at it : you should open the equipment file with something like excel, IMO. Other than that, it seems very clear at first glance.

And I agree with Tobi, the forum is good. Any curious Panzer Corps player that visit the forum will see all the mods available ; if we isolate on a discord, we will totally disappear.
I don't seek popularity (Panzer Corps community is not large enough to propulse anyone, anyway, it would have been a very bad choice  ), but on the opposite I don't want to make scenarios only for myself
I prefer continue to make the forum lives :)

Hi Tobi — I’m glad you said that, and I was actually waiting for someone to mention it. It’s not about Discord itself but about how to post links here because I’m a bit clueless about that 🙂. I’ll release the map tonight after one more round of tests to make sure roads and bridges are OK.

Also, Tobi, I need some advice — you already mentioned someone before, but I’ll ask again. I’d like to know from you or anyone here how to add units (tanks, aircraft, artillery, etc.) for a country like Slovakia that currently has none. I read somewhere that you can copy something from another country into a certain file and change the country ID, and the flag should probably be placed there too.

For Slovakia I’d add T-72 B3, Mi-24 (not sure which variant — D or H), S-300, Kub, Buk, and in the future some real F-16s — so I need to know how to give Slovakia those units, and how to do the same for other countries.

One more thing: how do I create a new unit — for example a fighter, a tank, or a missile? I don’t need a 2D model for my own use, just a real image and the stats. I want to learn this, not only make maps.

Thanks for the help, Tobi.

Tomáš

One more question: how and where can I set or change the production year of a vehicle or any unit so that it appears in the game in the correct year? For example, for the Czech Republic they had Leopard A4s — at first they didn’t have them, then they appeared, and around year ’21 they disappeared and became unavailable for purchase. Where is that changed? Thanks.

Friends, don’t panic — I’ve listened to your advice, and I always appreciate your suggestions. We’re one team, and we help each other. The map will be released this evening; I’ll post the link :) then you can enjoy it. Thank you,
Tomas

Friends, I’ll post a poll — starting Monday I want to slowly begin a new map and I’m letting you choose. It will be a 100×100 map covering one of three possible regions: Ukraine, Syria, or Vietnam. I’m also considering Iraq and Libya, but that would require knowing how to copy and edit units and bases.
A Vietnam map wouldn’t be a problem — the issue is that the units don’t really exist in the game (at least I don’t know of them). For me, a real small image would be enough. The same probably applies to Iraq. I’m also thinking about doing Korea. What do you think?

Here we go !

- Find the equipment file of the mod.
If you are on steam, it's located here : Steam > Steamapps > common > Panzer Corps > Mods > MDC_00-MAIN > Data.

- Open "equipment.pzeqp", you should use something like Excel instead of a notepad, but both work.

- Find the unit you search. Use CTRL+F command to quickly find it. Each unit has his own line.
For example, I have searched : Czech units are between lines 2013 and 2031.

- If you look at the collumns U and V, you find two dates. The first is the starting date (when the unit start to be available) and the second is the moment it is not available anymore.
You just have to change dates in collumns U and V, and you are good.

Image

However, I see no Leopards 2A4 in the Czech unit list. Their only tanks available are T-72M and T72M4CZ.

Important note : the change you'll make will be definitive and will be effective in any further campaigns and scenarios you'll launch.
You should keep a copy of the orginial somewhere, if you want to cancel your changes one day.

Make it clear :) I have an idea — I’ll make the map and you can find the information I wrote about here. I’ll create it, but I need to learn how so I can make even better maps and locations.

I had the idea to make a big scenario about a Turkish-Greek war a few years later (before I started my campaigns), but I found my map so ugly I decided to stop it and make something else

I'd obviously vote for a map featuring both Greece and the Western part of Turkey to finally realize this old project

Let it be Ukraine ) Syria is boring )))) And for Vietnam, the most important thing is the Vietnamese people's army and militia that hasn't even been created yet

Especially only there now you can see for example German leo with Russian kaz for Soviet tanks ))))

No problem — send me a picture of how you imagine it, crop it so it only shows the map, so I can look at it and build based on that :)
And what should the size be? 50x50? 70x70? 100x100?
But I don’t have old building assets, only the ones available here. You’d have to find the older buildings yourself.

The Vietnam map isn’t a problem, but the issue is adding the units — unless they’d be fighting with modern ones.

Friends, the finale is here! 🙂 The map is out — here’s the download link. I’ll be glad to hear your feedback, both good and bad. Feel free to share screenshots of what you like or how you play. Thank you all for your support, and see you on Monday when I start working on the next map!

If you find any mistakes, especially with bridges or roads, please send a screenshot so I can fix them, and I’ll make map improvements over time :)
I’ve created the scenario for myself — main countries, turns, and money — but it’s up to each of you how you play with it to suit your style.

Here is the map I'd like :

I think that 154x100 is the ideal size. It allows to have interesting operations on island, since Crete would be 30 tiles long, for example.

You could reduce to 90x139 without loosing too much in accuracy.

There are interesting locations :
- the northern corridor would be one of the main ground frontline, the most logical route of invasion with plenty of units deployed to be destroyed en masse there ;
- The Egea sea, both navies and airforces fighting there, protecting small amphibious groups that try to capture the islands, and why not try to protect a large amphibious invasion force on the opposing mainland ;
- Crete, that could be a nice secondary objective for Turkey ;
- Chyprus, far from Greek reinforcements while under immediate threat from Turkey.

I see a lot of potential for a big Modern Conflicts scenario

It’s not just a map — people can play with someone at home or practice solo. I don’t know how to script scenarios; I’m just a mapper. I want to learn how to create and add military units.
