That's why I called this mission “Counterattack”. Here it is important to place the right units in the right places.
Because there is not much room for castling at the start of the game.

This launcher not only makes a ruckus, it is also very good at holding down infantry.

I will take into account your advice when building my defense, but the tactics of warfare in the mountains is very different from fighting on the plains ) And I don't see American mountain units or this function is performed by their rangers ? )As well as the mobility of movement desires better )
The Germans with their mobile groups with mortars are suppressing my units well and inflicting heavy casualties on me
P.S.What are you working on my friend now, underwater warfare? )

According to historical reports, the Germans had stationed massive artillery in the Hürtgen Forest and caused considerable damage to the American troops, especially with steep-fire guns. They exploded their shells in the treetops, causing heavy casualties, for example. In addition, they mined almost literally every square meter in the area, preventing the Allies from making rapid advances. I used mines sparingly here.

The “Rangers” were the American answer to the German paratroopers in the Hürtgen Forest. They are good units but also very expensive. And I have also seen pictures of these launchers in action in this area.

Here is my version of the formation and defense. Things got really dicey in the battle for the villages of Vicht and Zweifall.

In the battle for the villages, I lost a very good paratrooper unit to snipers. I completely underestimated this German unit. It won't happen to me again.

However, this will be edited and published on the YAMATO page, not on this page.

There the very nature and landscape do not allow to make deep detour maneuvers and you can be ambushed anywhere )
