I think I'd most like to play next a good British campaign.
It would have to include a sizable African component (maybe even East Africa). I would really, really like a greatly expanded British Campaign from PC1. I really liked how the beginning of it was done, but I hope it remains a British campaign and not morph into a "Western Allies" or American campaign. From what I remember, in that game you had a cheerful British chap doing the audio narration/intros and then with Operation Torch it suddenly became Batman. Keep them separate. Fine if you have American (or Free French, Polish, or whatever) auxiliaries, but keep the core British Commonwealth nations. And another annoying aspect of that PC1 campaign was how you couldn't have Australian, NZ, SA, etc. units in your core. I'd like to recreate the 8th Army and it sucked that they all had to be "British/GB" units, even if their stats were identical. Or that's an idea; call it an "8th Army Campaign."
Need a break from Eastern Front, thus wait on Soviet Campaign, and I find British more interesting than American. Covers more theatres of operation and longer timeline.

I may represent a minority, but I have really liked the first episode in Spain with the independent and sometime chaotic handle of the Spaniard infantry by the AI. For me it was much near the reality of the people assaulting a front line, when the general is not in the middle of the fray.
Regarding the future, something I have never seen in a game is the war between the White Russians armies in 1920 and the Bolchevik, with the heavy use of the trains. This could be an introduction to a soviet campaign.

I hope for SovietCorps as the next series, maybe with an opportunity to start in SCW aswell, and with the battle for Tokio in the ahistoric part (if there is one)
Yes - please let the new Soviet Corps have also a lot of DLCs and lets start it also in Spain with the International Brigades. Soviet Soldiers served also as tank crewmen and aviators - much like Legion Condor.
I am not aware of Soviet Infantry in Spain.
The next DLC could be a "Pre War" one with the Soviet Far East (Chalchin Goil and Nomonhan) followed by the invasion of Poland.
The third could be an entire Finiish War DLC and then going on with 41, etc.
And of course an ahistorical branch with the conquest of Japan or even conquering western Europe

As far as I am concerned, OoB has always been the better game, largely because of those first two DLCs: US Pacific and US Marines. Spent many happy hours playing those. Not a big fan of the "character" stuff either. At any rate, I am disappointed - was curious as to what they would have come up with. I guess I am done spending money on PZC2 as I don't much like ' into the future stuff - seems that type of thing should be a stand-alone game

Into the future stuff? You mean 2 years? I love the focus on narrative storytelling in Panzer Corps and it's always been a good part of both games. OOB is just way more clunky than PZC2 but it definitely has a better naval and supply system.

No, they will save that for modern conflict Panzer Corps and will replace Japan with China

Would it be called People's Corps? But someone is going to absolutely mispronounce that as 'People's Corpse'...

I'd absolutely love a modern era Panzer Corps. There is a great mod for PZC 1 that goes into that.

NIETHER!!
People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27 ... face_Force
The
People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force is the surface warfare branch of China's People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), consisting of all surface vessels in operational service with the PLAN. The PLAN Surface Force operates 661 ships organized into three fleets: the North Sea Fleet, the East Sea Fleet and the South Sea Fleet.
Since the late 20th century, the People's Liberation Army Navy has been turning away from its traditional focus on coastal and littoral warfare and instead prioritizing the development of blue water capabilities. This has led to a significant reduction in fleet numbers as the PLAN has replaced a larger number of smaller ships with a smaller number of larger, more capable and versatile ships, including destroyers, frigates, corvettes, amphibious warfare ships and large auxiliary ships.
According to the China Military Power Report published by the Pentagon, as of October 2023, China has the numerically largest navy in the world with an overall battle force of approximately 370 surface ships and submarines, including over 140 major surface combatants[1] — in comparison, according to the U.S. Naval Vessel Register, the United States Navy's battle force is approximately 292 ships and submarines.
People's Liberation Army

The
People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the armed wing of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and
the principal military force of the People's Republic of China. The PLA consists of five service branches: the Ground Force, Navy, Air Force, Rocket Force, and Strategic Support Force. It is under the leadership of the Central Military Commission (CMC) with its chairman as commander-in-chief.

Don't you dare tease us like this! That was such a great game. Both the UN side and the People's side. The story was cool, and plausible. The game was way ahead of its time...and at the tail end of the General series so never got the credit it deserved as people were moving on to different genres.

This is a massive disappointment. One of the biggest reasons to purchase entire set so far was the anticipation of a Pacific theater. It feels like a gut punch and false advertising.
I really hope that this becomes a standalone game at some point then. I didnt love OOB, i hated their supply lone mechanic. Also they never had a grand campaign like PC.
Wonder what is next? Hopefully both an allied corps and and U.S. only grand campaign.
I want no part of a soviet campaign.
A western german campaign as well as an africa would also be good.
How about an italian campaign? That would be a change of pace.
Again i want no part of USSR. That was the only DLC i skipped on PC1 as well.
I cant explain how sad i am at no Pacific thoigh. Truly terrible. Again, please consider making it a Standalone game.

I liked how you could, when purchasing a unit, pick additional trait for it. Like AT specialist, AA specialist and so on...great game and it flew under the radar somehow, unlike Panzer General 1 and 2.

Yes!... i too played "People's General"... and have to agree... that this Game was... "Ahead of its time!". With the Chinese president vowing to incorporate Taiwan back into its fold... it seem's that this region could become a hot-spot at any time.
Anyway!... i dug up a Website so that one can scrutinize how the U.S. and Chinese forces, etc... stack up against each other.

Maybe there will be another "People's General" Game in the future?.

It's sad news that there won't be Panzer Corps 2 Pacific because in my youth I loved spending time with Pacific General and People's General !!!!

I located a "GOG" Web-Site Page where one can set-up a password etc. ... to then
download and install "Peoples General"...which will work very well with Windows 11... as well as all the way back to Win 5. It really Works!!!. I also downloaded and installed the "GOG GALAXY" tool which assisted in installing the Game!... it may or may not be necessary to download this application... i am not sure!.
Anyway!... here is the Web-Site Address:

Disappointed by the news, but perhaps something can be salvaged from the wreckage? We may not get a campaign out of it, but I would love to have the Japanese unit roster be made available for sandbox content in the map editor. If those assets were actually created, why not release them so we can make a few Pacific scenarios of our own?
