The engagement will in Field of Glory II: Ancients be set up as follows:

• Open Battle scenario.

• 24 turns turn limit.

• 40x32 map size.

• Roman 24 BC - 196 AD versus Caledonian 50 - 225 AD

• No allies.

• No map re-rolls.

• Engagement is to be concluded within a four-week period.

• The winner, or the player having incurred the fewest casualties, report the results in this thread.

In a battle that lasted a mere 8 turns the central hill saw a sharp violent clash as the Romans raced to seize the level ground with their Praetorians. Without the height advantage the Caledonians quickly collapsed.

No need, I am happy for the 4th to stay where it is.

Time has come for round 8's order giving and movement instructions and the 12 MP each of your armies have (except for Caledonian army #11 being off the map this round).

Please send to me through replying to my PM by Sunday December 18 (9 PM, Swedish time) at the latest, and just as a simple sequence of individual moves (e.g., 2 4 2 6 0 6), with no other symbols in between, only blanks (for easy copy-pasting by the administrator). I will not open the PMs for any of the Roman armies until I've published the movement instructions for the Caledonian armies.

Quick question: How did army 13 move 7 hexes? Shouldn't that have cost 14 mps?

It moved 5 hexes, and not 7. Instructions were regarding 7 hexes though.
