An open field, a shooty horse army and a stabby foot army didn't walk into a bar but had the bar fight nonetheless.

A very willing affair with both armies keen to come to grips. Foot finding it difficult to catch mounted in the open and horse finding it difficult to shoot up foot/ hit flanks often enough to reach a result before nightfall sent us all back to camp to count the cost. Thanks to my opponent for his endurance and real willingness to get stuck in.

I was thinking a fairly straight forward scramble with terrain favourable for the Scots, becoming a bit of a slog towards the end, until the standard wagon incident. The commander leading the charge wisely died during the episode and the General of the army is refusing to answer all questions on the matter. No doubt an investigation will follow.

Thanks to the steep hill, the crossbows shot the Scots down while the almughavars and knights routed the others

The Dailami foot were able to reach and attack the Ghurid foot including archers. The spearmen proved to be difficult opponents but the archers the complete opposite.

The English and Welsh and the Irish were all on their best behaviour. The Knights acted like they were Hollywood stars and destroyed everything in front of them, without breaking sweat, and my Irish Kerns survived ridiculous odds and smashed the highlanders left and right. Its almost like the English army is designed to kill the Scots. I had all the luck.

A very bloody battle for both sides, with rallies prolonging the end. The Aragonese light superiority helped autobreak some units and drive off rallied routers, giving the slight edge to the Aragonese.
