First result ! (We may have shot off the starting blocks slightly before Aetius actually fired the starting gun...sorry !)

devoncop (Ancient Britons) drew with Rob123 ...52% to 51% ....

A topsy turvy contest that the British were only 2% from losing after 7 turns at 41-18 down thanks to a surprise ferocious assault by the Praetorians supported by auxiliaries up a small hill that warbands were trying to claim, the battle swung back when the Roman Legions went on a largely fruitless mission to pin down the British Chariots on the other side of the battlefield just as some warbands rallied and supported by numerous light troops were able to overcome the Roman Cavalry and Auxiliaries.

It ended with the Romans having lost just 1% more casualties but it was a heck of a fight that my opponent was unlucky not to win early on after a brilliant co-ordinated attack.

Thanks to Rob.....now I shall be rooting for my Roman ally Stew101 in the reverse fixture.

SawyerK (Romans) vs Fluidwill (British)

The Romans led by SawyerK (Team-8) gained a 54-18 victory over Fluidwill's (Team-5) Ancient British army. The Romans used the Legionnaires to power through the center but a determined Warband attack on the Roman's left flank essentially collapsed that entire sector. Fortunately, the Legionnaires were able to sweep to the right and take that flank before the Warbands could press their attack home.

Team 8 = 60+(54-18) = 96
Team 5 = 18

My compliments to Fluidwill for an excellent, fast paced match.

The ancient british of random27 (team3) have won against the romans of kronenblatt (team10) 50-21
The roman took the control of a big hill in the center of the map, gallic warriors were waiting them in a forest in the south , lights and chariots covered the flank of the forest
Roman auxiliaries suffered too much from the fire of light gallic troops , and warriors left the forest to finish the job
Thanks for a good game , fast play , the fights were bloody

Kroche (Romans) 48% was defeated by Holien (British) 20%

The Map gods laughed at the British and gave the Romans an open expanse between the two forces and added a nice hill for the Roman right flank to anchor on. The British had woods to hide in but that was not the plan.

Seize the Hill on his right and wheel on his roman legions. The Chariots would annoy and delay the roman legions while the warbands crossed the wide open expanse. The deployment surprised the Romans and they wheeled quickly to move to their right but the chariots swooped close and stopped a large percentage of the romans from continuing that deadly march. If it had continued the game would have been lost for the British.

Ultimately the concentrated Warbands with the help of the chariots managed to defeat the romans bit by bit. One legion was caught in the woods by a horde of javelin men and soon regretted venturing into the oak heartland of the British.

Of course luck played a role with both sides losing a general each to the sword and some nasty double drops that helped speed the demise of one roman legion commanded by the CinC.

Overall a very challenging game and a worthy opponent thank you.

Giacofa93 (Romans) defeats dragmio (Britons) 49-4

The british warbands looked menacing and numerous, so the Romans tried to delay the clash and make use of their superior number of archers and artillery engines. On one side, the roman cavalry slowly had the better of a first wing of celtic chariots, while on the other side the remaining chariots destroyed in turn the roman reserves, composed of raw and untrained recruits.
But when finally the masses of men clashed, the barbarians having been pounded by many waves of projectiles, the quality of the legionaries showed and in a fierce fight they broke enemy resistance across the line.

After chasing shadows through the woods and forests for most of the day night finally fell to bring an end to the slaughter , a bloody draw , 55% losses to the Romans vs 33% losses to the Britons.

I guess that is TEAM 2 (TomoeGozen) 33 points , TEAM 9 (Karvon) 55 points.

Not sure but I think that it is 62 p for team 2 and 65 p for team 9
