Draw for round 1 of our ECW event on Sunday September 12:

Draw for ECW round 1
Trev with New Model plays Tim with Scots Covenanter
David with Eastern Association 1644 plays Dene with Later Royalist
Steve with Eastern Association 1644 plays Don with Scots Royalist
Tom with Parliament 1643 plays Ray with Cornish 1643

Looks like a difficult start for me!

It will be great to see you all there again.

Just did that with Paddy’s help. Realised how many rules I had forgotten. But seemed to be very good at failing death rolls.

Happy to take away the Wooden Spoon (thanks to Dene, Steve and Ray!) in exchange for the chance to get the toys out on the table and get back to the great banter and social side of Face-to-Face gaming again!

tjelsworth wrote: Tue Jun 29, 2021 9:20 pm That accords with my view Don but shall we need to ban the best Swede armies to ensure that?

Is there a reason no German armies have been included?

Any army that can claim any amount of Baltic coast are allowed e.g Brandenburg Prussia. The source of the idea was however, just a whim.

Any more players out there for our Italian Wars event on October 10? I have seven places available. At present we have an odd number which is never great!

Help.

All,

If we do have only 5 players I have a proposal to make the most of it as follows:

If there are 5 players the event will be a round robin of four rounds as follows
1st round 0900 to 1100
2nd round 1115 to 1315
3rd round 1330 to 1530
4th round 1545 to 1745
Followed by rapid clearing up before the next users come into the Hall at 1800!

Actually I think this has a lot to commend it from a fairness point of view and it will encourage speed of play and selection of armies designed to give a quick result.

Any views - especially from those signed up?

But - this should not discourage anyone from coming forward to join the event. That would be best.

Thanks

Tom
