A very exciting game. The Zealots carried all before them, but the Romano-British concentrated their stronger attacks (warbands and cavalry) on the Irregular Jewish Foot. The latter collapsed faster than the British foot, allowing the Britons to flank several zealot units in the closing stages of the battle. (Although, to be fair, the zealots also did their fair bit of flanking). Outnumbering the Truculent Hebrews in non-light units also helped.

Ludendorf (Palymrans 258-273AD) defeats shawkhan (Sassanids 224-476AD) 23-28%. Opponent surrendered.

Nosy_Rat will play Ludendorf in the final paired match of the Themed Event. The armies are Sassanid Persians (224-476AD) v Hepthalites (350-470AD). I am setting the deadline for completion initially at 9pm (BST) on next Sunday August 12th. This is when the tournament is scheduled to close. If we can just see how it goes and there will be no problem granting an extension if you need it. As I have already indicated, the timings for this event for season 3 will be modified.
