2. Naval movement
Over the course of the game, the thing that annoyed me the most was the fuel restriction for ships.
I chose Realistic+, but apparently it's too much for me.
With a smart management you can use the ships quite fair: as I remember, preparing for the Oil Crisis,
- I sent the two Italian Battleships to Sicily in the exactly right time. They could guard the way to Malta. The rest was used in North Africa, of course carefully to not let fuel stranding the ships in the open.
- Also preparing for the winter no-air danger, I smuggled the Kriegsmarine ships to the area of the direct invasion of England. While in the meantime repairing the two battleships at the Western ports of France. And a tons of AA. In that way, even the heavy hitters could be refueled at the northern ports of France while actively supporting Sie Lion. Also they could get protection from hostile air power from the AA batteries at the northern shore of France. Of course they can get protected by fighters too - and I do partly - but it is a heavy price as British fighters are getting stronger and stronger...
Of course, taking Baku as fast as possible is also a must to have then a more dynamic Axis navy - right when Torch happens.

I just uploaded the start of a new Multiplayer Letsplay versus McGuba in BE2.5 Beta.
This time it is with

McGuba added several interesting things in this version like railroad sections that only complete over the course of the scenario.
I will go over the list of changes at the start of the scenario.
Of course these additions are subject to change for the final version.
As usual there are no replays of the enemy turn and the start is rather uneventful for the Allies. Well.... they get hammered with not much to respond.
But once the Winter starts we shall fight back!
Oh wow, great to see. Watched part of it already.
Great to see the railway rework in BE multiplayer, especially the line East of the Volga!
I'll have to check out the railways being built by scripts, that is a neat function.
Also curious about the initial push towards Moscow.

I had two ideas.
The first is an additional mode for all ships, which allowed ships to move but at a slower speed.
Or the second is to add generally all ships every turn 1-3 fuel.
Very often there is not enough fuel for a few hexes and for 1 turn =14 days you can refuel the ship or push on a tugboat))))
Otherwise, the ship is lost and you have to replay a turn or two...
Adding 1 fuel to ships every turn worked well for preventing the most frustrating instances.
Eg when you only have enough fuel to get very close to a friendly port, but not quite make it.
And then had to sit right in front of that port until the end of the game.

Which rail lines are these?

There is a new railway in the North that allows to reinforce Archangel even after the capture of Moscow.
Then there is one coming from Saratov to East of Stalingrad. Therefore a new City was added. Because very often Axis player is on the Easternmost railway line even before the Allied trains become unblocked. Making reeinforcing Stalingrad and the Caucasus very time consuming.
And then there are railyways in Egypt and Lybia.
These become online over the course of the game. Maybe I forgot one or two. McGuba knows best of course

Interesting, are the changes mostly in multi player or are there also additional changes in the single player version?

The complete list of changes is shown in the video in a word document from minutes 0:55 onwards. You can read them all there.
Some of them might change yet again after things learned from this match.

Turn 40.
The winter offensive has begun....
OMG! We have a problem)
8 Soviet tanks.
The Soviets have about 20 tanks in this direction.
Quite impressive for the beginning of โ43...
But the good news is, England has fallen on this turn.

1. How about a NoZoะก trait for Tanks?
Then they could really be mobile troops and have the advantage of mobility.
Unfortunately that's not possible.
I thought this trait had an inversion property, but no.
But it would be nice to have a trait that allows you to bypass ZOC.

"I am now a Strategist and Logistician"
...and yes: the most important asset to achieve victory is to handle logistics. (As in the real life too.)
Interestingly, on turn 40,
I haven't bought a single tank yet,
and I have three tanks that are still waiting to be upgraded.
Pz2, Pz2 Flame and Pz38.
At the same time I have bought or upgraded 6 engineers, several units of motorised infantry, 2 Sig33 mobile artillery and 1 mobile AA.
In all this time not a single Soviet fighter has been shot down!
But they are already so strong that they can easily shoot down Axis planes.
Almost all the air defence was sent to the Eastern Front...

Speaking of the daily video unlocks, perhaps the unlock time could be earlier?
The current time seems too late for your main european audience.

As Locarnus said they become watchable for everyone at the rate of one turn per day.
@Locarnus: I might change the startingtime.... if I find the time haha.
I had a poll a while ago where the majority of viewers (strongly) disliked content in English. So I thought I'd do it at midnight.
Also it saves a few clicks if you do not have to set the time for each video. 0:00 is predefined lol

There is a possibility if you both play it in hot-seat mode.
It needs a little more work as you need to send the saved files to you partner and he has to then send it back after his turn. Still I think it is much more enjoyable then the total random outcome mode.

Hello,
I have been planning on doing a turn by turn playthrough of McGuba's saved game of the disposition of troops in BE starting at D-Day+1.
I recorded the first turn this morning and plan for a Tuesday broadcast on my channel.
Hope any interested parties can make the broadcast and share their suggestions or requests for units. As I have started a list of named units based on fan input.
