Good job PG...not sure if my tin pot strategic insights were of any use but I enjoyed following your game/observing developments, etc.. Stopping max in the summer of 44 was a high point as it demonstrated the potency of airpower combined with superior troop quality.

Way to go PG - your were being a good sport for most of the game, then suddenly you were a near-unstoppable juggernaut with the Russians. The listed winner/loser in a game like this seems silly, but you did almost win this game according to the GS victory conditions, right?

No, according to the victory conditions I was waaaay off. Max had most of the capitals. And in order to secure a victory for the allies I needed to capture Berlin, Hamburg and Rome. And that was definitively not going to happen in this game :) If I had managed to capture Berlin, it would have been a personal victory for me.

Hi PG,
Thanks to you and Supermax for putting such effort into these AARs. I think I read every update as you and he posted them. :)
I think you should take this game as a moral victory. Considering the disparity in experience levels between you and Supermax and his stated goal to take all the Allied capitals, I think you did well in denying the ultimate conquest and making a drive on Berlin.
