Can I just thank all the players collectively who are now replying to my enquiries about the remaining matches? It is a very big help that you are doing this. Cheers!

Brenmusik Early South Slavs (later) 28/50 defeats Leonidas048 Maurikian Byzantine (later) 31/30
The Slavs stood on the defensive and held the line, just. The Byzantine's hand was forced by some headstrong cavalry charges ... happily

Claymore had a lot of bad luck in this one, including the early demise of both his leaders!

Londo (Ordonnance French) 10/40 defeated ianiow (Later Hungarian) 37/37
Ordonnance armies match up well against some opponents it seems - unfortunately, not the armies that most players choose!

For the only time this season, I managed to make good use of stakes placed by longbowmen. Hungarian knights insisted on anarchy charging them!
Also, for once, my polearmsmen kept it together. As I constantly whinge to people, the game simply does not reflect the way halberds, bills, and so on, could keep cavalry at bay. It's basically a long spear, isn't it, with extra blades and spikey bits added. But they really suffer versus cavalry, with no impact POA. This is the biggest problem with the game IMHO.
In this case, my polearmsmen rolled very well against a flanking attack by Hungarian cavalry, and saw them off. With more normal luck, they'd have folded, and the game would have been much closer.

google the battle of arbedo 1422.
on a related note, for scenarios making, if heavy cavalry is numerous in proportion to heavy weapons (not the case at towton for example but relatively true with bosworth field) the lance has to be removed from heavy cavalry or it will seriously unbalance the historical flow.
