The Galatian invasion of Phrigia has been defeated.
Among the booty recovered to the barbarians we have found documents showing that the invasion was instigated by the king of Pontus, he will soon pay for that pefidy!

Macedonia reports the successful conquest of Dardania and now moves to attack Epirus from Macedonia.

Please let me know the opponent (Trogilus?) and I will set up a challenge.

Also, any chance that we can get an updated map? I'm not sure who has conquered what at this point...

vakarr wrote:So the roads get built 1 January and I can build trade routes on 20 January and the campaign ends a couple of weeks after that?
Unfortunately no. It was all a misunderstanding of Varity who reported the results of the Italian Lottery of the 2nd of december thinking it was already time for random events.
In reality random events occurred only with the lottery draw of the 3rd of january.
So the results of the 2nd of december are not valid and no paved roads were built for Pontus as effect of random events.
If you want to build trade routes you have to build first paved roads paying tha amount of 60t.

vakarr wrote:I have a fleet in Paphlagonia, if the Seleucid attack on Paphlagonia is successful, what happens to the fleet?
In that case the fleet would be lost because the rules state:
"Every fleet will be automatically destroyed as soon as the nation will lose his maritime province."

You're allowed at any moment because you have no land or amphibious attack already ongoing

Your opponent is me, because I had to pass over my turn to shadowblack, being mine the last independent attack.

The actual map is updated daily and you can always found it on the first page of the thread in "The Actions & Events Track" template.
Anyway I attach it also here for an immediate consultation

So I can't move the fleet to Pontus?

Thanks; weird, I'd actually checked the first page before posting, and the map that I saw was not updated... I wonder if I saw a cached version or something?

The Pontic invasion of Cappadocia has failed again, and this time it could not be blamed on luck in any way, so Pontus invades Cappadocia again for a third time, we will raise taxes if necessary to pay for it.

No, because fleets are allowed to operate only in a maritime province and strictly pertain to it.
Moreover, in the present case, Pontus is not a maritime province because them, by the rules: "though not adjacent, are anyway linked via a sea-route on the map (represented with a black line) that allows an amphibious attack."

Done!
The task of defending Cappadocia falls on Trogilus

Attention anyway that the Pontic Kingdom stability has decreased to level 4.
If the Stability lowers to level 3 the Prestige will decrease of 1 level and the player won’t be able to launch independent or external attacks.
If the Stability lowers to level 2 the Prestige will decrease of another level and the player won’t be able to launch any attack but only to defend its provinces.
If the Stability lowers to level 1 the nation will crumble apart and all his provinces will become independent.

EDIT
vakarr wrote:Armenia will attack Sophene

I have to edit this post because I realize now that Pontus, before launching the invasion of Cappadocia, also sponsored an independent attack from Armenia toward Sophene
This means that the money raised with the new taxes were used to pay the independent attack.
To launch the invasion of Cappadocia another Tax Increase action should be played, but this would involve the lowering of the stability of the kingdom to 3, with the effects explained above.
So, before completing this action, I ask vakarr if he is sure of doing it or if he prefers to call it off.

So what if my country falls apart, I'm not going to win the campaign anyway, and the campaign is due to end soon, raise the taxes and let the battle begin (even if the next one is the twelfth loss in a row)
